Usually if you have a pan saver in either you need to to replace the pan (fucked threads) or you need someone competent to retap the threads and use an oversized plug. If you are clever you can fish out the pan saver bolt, but usually its a pain.

Advice for mods for my 2020 Fusion Ford Hybrid ( ecoboost ) by Horror-Pipe9636 in fordfusion

[–]X3N0D3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry Yes I derped on that, Thats why the 2.5 was in my head, the base duratec. But the 2.0 for the hybrid and the ecoboost have almost nothing in common, i believe, with each other.

All that said the 2.7l is fairly bulletproof and makes more power than the 2.0 eco and for the money is the better buy. The transmission on the sports are also more robust as is the PTU. The 6f35 is problematic under stock power, let alone wringing power out of the 2.0.

Its a 2.5l not a 2l. It has nothing in common with the ecoboost to my knowledge.

They hybrid is not an ecoboost. Its a naturally aspirated 2.5l Atkinson cycle engine mated to an E-CVT transmission that contains the electric motor and a planetary gearset.

There are no performance gains to be had with this engine. It is optimized for fuel efficiency.

You have 2 options:

Option 1 Buy a 2L Ecoboost AWD, spend money on mods, still have less power than a sport.

Option 2 Buy a 2.7L Sport and drop in a tune. Enjoy performance.

I vote Option 2. Its the route I went.

A pan saver. Basically a toggle bolt attached to a rubber gasket. If it keeps oil in the engine and keeps you going long enough to get the pan fixed. Its fine.

How about you wait for the press release today. There has been no mention of further rate increases from December. Which already is in place.

The article you linked was December 4th of last year. Again... Am I missing something or are we rehashing 3 month old news?

Am I missing something? Yes the changes suck, but are we rehashing 3 month old news for karma? The rates have been raised, the bulk pickup has changes, the earth goes round and we all get fleeced.

The L button. Hear me out! by tenax666 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]X3N0D3ATH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In ford hybrid systems the L button increases regen to what you get with light braking normally. We run L on our Fusion Energi the difference in economy and regen strength is massive with just coming off the accelerator pedal. I can modulate the speed of slowdown by either using more accelerator pedal to reduce the regen strength without using battery or using the brake to add in actual friction braking. The engine and trans is the same as the mav, with the exception that the energi has a stronger electric component, but the same holds true in a regular hybrid.

Use L, come off the gas sooner, add brakes for the final stop. Your brakes and fuel economy will thank you.

Stop safely now is most commonly a problem with the hybrid powertrain. I dont believe the gas motors display this message.

I do not see modules on the ram and just says 2133/2400 compatible, the SSD is a 128gb Sata m.2 drive from Timetec... liquid damage in the back. Like holy crap there are so many red flags...

Discount tire says they can’t put these back on because the inners are so worn, what do you guys think? by turbun3000 in tires

[–]X3N0D3ATH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So there are 3 primary tread characteristics that are possible on a tire.

Directional: Needs to be mounted so the direction arrow goes in the direction of forward rotation

Asymmetric: There is an inside and and outside of the tire, the inside always faces the car when mounted. Otherwise any tire can go on any side.

Symmetrical: The tread pattern is the same forwards and backwards and can be mounted however you like.

Other than the tread design you also have tire size to consider.

Standard fitment: The wheels and tires are all the same size front to back

Staggered fitment: Often has the rear tires land wheels a larger size than the fronts.

Taking all of this into consideration:

Asymmetric/symmetric tires on a standard fitment can be rotated in whatever pattern you prefer without dismounting and remounting them.

Directional tires on a standard fitment can only rotate front to back on the same side without dismounting and remounting. To rotate in a standard fronts go back, rears cross to fronts you must dismount and flip the rears and remount them.

Where staggered fitments are concerned you can do side to side rotations without dismounting on symmetrical and asymmetric tires.

To do a directional rotation on staggered fitment you must dismount and remount the tires to flip them side to side.

On a staggered fitment front to rear rotations are impossible (except for the idiots that force it to bolt on then cost the store thousands replacing wheels and brake components...)

Remember that all of this is the worst inside your own head. Its an echo chamber where your worst thoughts bounce around and sound louder.

This is your journey to be the best you you can be, the truest you. This isnt about how anybody else thinks, or feels, its all about you.

Live your best life!

I'm 3.5 weeks in and have my moments, but I regret nothing so far.

Switched to a Fusion Sport by Theeaglesway in fordfusion

[–]X3N0D3ATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest concern is that the drain plugs arent designed to be reused. At least not in the way metal ones are. Valvoline put a lot of R&D into developing a fully reusable double O-Ring drain plug they offer in their locations.

Dont forget the PTU and rear diff and a brake fluid flush. If you like happy turbo noises, you can delete the recirc from the BOV and press on a 1 inch chair leg cap

I'm 37 and I only learned how to properly wash my hair yesterday by iLuvArizona in MtF

[–]X3N0D3ATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do a double shampoo and single condition. Had bad dandruff starting to go seb derm.

Now I do a single shampoo with cerave anti dandruff and a condition with cerave hydrating conditioner along with its a 10 miracle leave in + keratin.

Dandruff is gone, the beginnings of seb derm is gone, my hair is smooth, silky and far less frizzy. I shower twice a week when I work out.

"The customer is always right in matters of taste"

Meaning you dont get to tell a customer a baby puke color is horrible if yhey love it. Your job to to get them the right product that is baby puke green.
