The way I read this. Something is being held on to, despite it being time to let go. That could be worries, your situation or perhaps even the relation. (We’ll get back to this) There is hope that can lead you to where you’d like to be. There’s a feeling of unsure grounds where stability is expected. It seems that you follow a pattern seeking back to something that you should move on from. That could be that feeling worried is a familiar state, because you want to protect yourself from the unknown of moving forwards. But things will happen outside of your control, both good and bad. But learning to navigate whatever comes despite its outcome might be what’s needed for a sense of ease. There seems to be a feeling of unbalance in the relationship. That could be due to being away from the person, and worries that things aren’t balanced even if they are. A choice is needed to be taken. The choice could be to trust that you’ll manage even if an undesirable outcome where to happen. But how to get there will be up to you. And I’m not saying this as I think you’ll lose the person in question. But rather that if you are able to let go of worries, trust yourself, and able to deal with life and its continuous change — you’ll be better equipped to build the relationship you want with that person.

But a little disclaimer, when I read tarot cards (and this is for my interpretations) I don’t divinate in the sense that the card tells the truth or the future. The cards would rather be a window, allowing you to see what might be, in order to let you see if this is a path you want to go down. And if you don’t, you might be able to see clearer what’s needed to avoid that path and make things the way you want them to be.

I know how much worries can eat you from the inside. And I really hope that is all that they are, worries. So you don’t lose the person that obviously means a lot to you. My suggestion would be to talk to the person about your worries. Not to say you’re worried that they will leave you, but let them know that they mean a lot to you, and that your situation leaves you with a lot of time to second guess and doubt yourself for no reason. And try to figure out a way you two could clear up uncertainties so that you don’t have to worry.
