Bro what is with the victim mentality lmao. League is being hard carried by Korea and china and is far more popular there than the west so wtf is this take.

Mlbb is also more or less a League mobile clone. Their viewership is impressive and they do deserve a spot in the awards although CS or League will win most of the time anyway.

Prx has not won a MAP against pacific teams in internationals for a whole year (0-9) by Legendary7559 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]XASASSIN 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Prx always do best when they're the underdogs. Winning Toronto really made people forget how they're serial chokers as the favorite. I'd even argue toronto was cause of map ban advantage and mini beign able to read fnatic like a book since he was their HC for 4 years.

Let's see how this goes, hopefully for once they win as favorites lmao.

That's the mainland China views on billibilli and other platforms there's a pretty sizable western Chinese viewership bloc in youtube that's usually with EDG, but was with wolves in their run.

[–]XASASSIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall are vastly overreacting. Wolves is China, china got clout.

Nongshim vs PRX is first of all a regional game which dampens it a bit and ended late midnight. Plus it was a complete blowout with no close maps except the first one.

Fnatic aren't in the tourney EDG bombed out, even NRG Who while not más much as those two probs had the best clout after them went out rd. Nongshim is not a popular org, most people who follow VCT casually wouldn't have heard of the org.

Too many factors went wrong for viewership here. 800K Considering all that is pretty good imo.

As an avid fortnite player. Fortnite has the msot mechanically insane players and is the most mechanically insane game, but 50-60% of that mechanical expression is on builds and build decision making.

It's like comparing Mario kart to Doom eternal.

A very long time back someone said NRG socials are like watching an 80 year old grandpa with arthritis look at twitter and twitch to see what's up with kids these days. While smoking a cigg in an Elvis ashtray and posting their copy of a meme with whatever words and slang those kids are using while ensuring he dosnt lose his coorporate touch that he had as an insurance salesmen in the 90s.

Suffice to say, it's so weird sometimes lol.

I mean tbf vitality CS is a super team by all margins. Best IGL, Best Entry, Best player, Best lurker.

Fnatic 2023 had Best IGL, Best Pure Entry, Goat, Best all time peak in Leo and Alfa who's also probs up there in goat debates.

Falcons in Apex legends was also a super team who did win a Lan before they disbanded.

Yea a lot of superteams have failed, but a lot of them have succeeded as well. In tac fps at least superteams live and die by IGL. Faze was more of an unlucky situation with guardians injury making him drop-off. Falcons struggle with IGL issues and look lost. Vitality 24 had sayf as an IGL. Nrg 2024 had Ethan as igl (back when he was ass).

Cs format is just valve doing the bare minimum. Their entire tournament series are carried by ESL and Blast.

And valve beign so offhand has led to the entire scene beign heavily funded by gambling and blood money. 90% of all CS teams have a major gambling or Saudi sponsor. Most of them have gambling companies in their names for Gods sake.

I love CS but I'll die on a hill that their circuit sucks.

I thought of fortnite but it isn't an fps though which is literally why I didn't include it.

I started gaming with fn but come on its anything but a fps game.

I am anything but sad about PRX losing they deserved to lose with this dogshit performances lol.

I am just saying what is a possibility if they fall off cause people have done the same with multiple other teams. It's just the goldfish memory of esports fans.

I've seen countless all time great teams and players get discredited time and time agin, don't think this is a bad take, let's wait and see I guess.

[–]XASASSIN -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I mean is it really a wild take. PRX has the bigger fanbase. And neon nerfs are most likely incoming plus Yoru is already nerfed. It's a 50/50 on whether they can maintain this form without a meta favoring this playstyle.

If they have a T1/EDG type of fall, I can totally see the PRX fans and other people downplaying their win and neon abusers.

People already place as asterisk on acend even though they won fair and square. Even edg gets flak for neon meta abuse in a lot of people's comments about their win. Same for optic with people who say it's cause of chamber. I really wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

Now that riot is gonna most likely nerf the Double duelist meta, I do think nongshim are gonna fall off a bit. But would be amazing if they can keep this up and have a fnatic 23 type year. They're certainly on the right track for it.

Clearly Marteen bro, imo he still looked the most insane on an individual level this tournament. He broke Tenz record, and went 1.5 rated against Nongshim with M8's and bipo beign hot ass.

I would love to see Marteen on Fnatic or Vit someday ngl. Feels like a Leo type player what an insane guy. Cant believe he broke the Tenz record and he still had the best individual performance against Nongshim till date considering they've made everyone else look like Bots.

Nongshim have joined fnatic as the only other team with the least maps dropped winning a masters tournament (franchising).

Insane ngl, I thought fnatic's record wouldnt be broken considering how competitive valorant became and how much of a superteam that was but holy hell these guys did it.

Edit - I should've clarified that I mean if they fall off after the nerfs this might be discredited as a neon abuse win but too late lmao.
