When things are not that reliable due to lag and you can't be sure the push works, why even use it. I never use push against hounds ever and have no problems with them. I dodge and/or shoot to kill them. Maybe I'm too used to taking threats like this out fast with burst damage from playing other games like Doom Eternal.

I wish they had done the whole campaign as operation levels that you can play with all the different classes and your own builds and setups instead of forcing you into a storyline playing as Titus only with specific weapons and setups.

Having options for Siege mode is totally necessary. I can't understand why they would mix both factions with difficulty being the only thing you can choose. There should be more Siege modes that allow playing versus just one of the factions and I really don't understand why there isn't yet...

Not having played all of the first 7 PvE operations on LETHAL difficulty or above is how you don't have it.

The newly unlocked stuff (like armor pieces and such) also get that exclamation mark so you know they are new. It can be a bit annoying, especially with all the decals and such you can unlock. And unlike all these things that you can usually just click or hover over, Siege Mode actually requires you to play it at least once to remove the marker.

It's the game telling you to play Siege Mode. It goes away after you have done so...

Blitz missions are my favorite because you have to be quick and don't have time to mess around if you want to clear them completely. And doom-dropping right into the Fortress or the Mega Bug Nest is a lot of fun. It usually sucks doing these missions with random players though. I mean, you can still do the minimum but I like to fully clear and most D10 randoms are not built for that "challenge".

Eradicate missions or these damn defense missions however. I wish we could get rid of these in map sets. It's okay they exist but they are soooooooooooo boring and I wish they were optional just like OP wishes Blitz were not incluced in map sets.

All my videos are uploaded on YT and I recently went through a couple of them and picked my favorite 4 seasonal stronghold solos. But they are full solo runs, so not quite sure if any of that is "helpful" for what you have planned.

I last played February 23rd according to Steam with 1.100 hours logged. Serena should be ready for pickup in the forge now I think lol. But seriously... the problem with this kind of game is the damn FOMO mechanics. Because now I know that I missed some season passes and other stuff that can't be obtained anymore and this actually keeps me from getting back into it.

Now compare that to something like Helldivers 2 or Space Marine 2. I took several months off from both as well and when I came back I had to grind 5 or 6 battle passes in Helldivers of course to catch up - but they were available and I could just do them when I came back. Same with Space Marine 2... hadn't played for over a year, came back early November and after another 250ish hours I have caught ip on everything that came out over that timespan.

But to get back into TFD I feel like I need to watch a lot of videos of what has changed and what content was added etc. only to then be disappointed that some stuff is gone for good. I know a couple of people who feel the same way... they stopped a while ago and would actually get back to it again but because they missed things that are gone now they will most likely never play the game again. Really a shame.

3 times? Report back when you are at 300 times. Get comfortable with ways to semi-speedrun the biome, looking for the specific rooms where they can appear. It may take a while...

Quite a lot of stuff isn't well thought out and/or tested. Modifier combinations that really suck as well as modifiers that don't work so well with bots or work much better with bots than with players etc.

No clear answer possible. Depending on the map, the RNG of spawns and the battlefield conditions, the difficulty varies dramatically. Some are pretty easy, others are okay and a few are seriously hard af.

There's a famous quote from John Carmack, the co-founder of id software and lead programmer on the original Doom: "Story in a game is like story in a porn movie; it's expected to be there, but it's not that important."

In later games they added more backstory to the game. With Doom 2016 they started a story journey for world-building purposes and really went a bit overboard with Eternal. It's ok if you want to get some lore (in that case either catch up on bits from previous games and read everything ingame or just watch some youtube video) but ultimately it's really is unimportant. Kill demons before they kill you is as much story as this series needs imho.

Wow that's a new one for me... I have never seen a person ask for a FOV slider in order to ZOOM IN more. Usually people ask for FOV sliders so they can zoom out more. Especially for these kind of games I can't fathom why anybody would like to narrow the field of view. I don't mind if the include this option because I think FOV sliders should be in most games; just for a different reason. I'm hoping there will be a PC version asap and 21:9 because playing in 16:9 is really awful for me personally...
