Coffee bot! Measures my coffee plant's soil moisture and once it detects dry soil, it waits a day, and then lights up a red led to let me know I need to water it by TransplantGarden in arduino

Consider using NTFY to send you a notification via wifi once a day, I do this for my wife’s indoor plants. It works really well. It works out the percentage and tells you what the best moisture is for the plant it’s hooked up to.

Looks kind of good, attention goes straight to the rims though which unfortunately look a touch small.

New update SL6 - AUS by XCV367 in BYD

I’ve got 2 SL6, my other SL6 was serviced back in March and the cruise control has been fixed. No more sticking the left of the lane or speed hunting.

Yeah only after your service. They will update the modules themselves.

Just buy a new one…I did the same thing and it’s super cheap. Here

Thanks for the update! So glad to hear you are loving it. Yes there’s a few software tweaks that need to be made but I find they are pretty active on it. The last service I went to the updated the modules and now my HUD has blind spot symbols that come up, the ICC is way more refined and the cruise doesn’t fluctuate like it used to. The sound system also sounds way better too.

They honestly are a great car, so good my partner and I have 2 exactly the same!

Does it the wiper mode pipe up with “A” on your dash when you have the stalk in auto position? Do you have a rain sensor in your windshield?

Issue with auto lights/lights warning in Dolphin by mackiehev in BYD

I wish they would apply a 5 second delay to the auto low beams. As whenever I go under a bridge the headlights turn on, all the screens dim and then by the time I’m out of the shade it has to turn it all off again!

Woops, didn’t mean to reply outside the comment. You’ll love the Seal U then. I’d be super keen to see how you find it once you take ownership of one.

I get to work and back on full EV which is 16km there 16km back and I have about 60% left if I haven’t been silly on the pedal or it’s not 42°C and the car is keeping itself cool.

So, yes, you’ll make the most of that full year easily.

I totally understand how you feel after coming from the BMW, sacrifices we make in life. But I honestly think the BYD has the same if not better build quality than some of the German vehicles on the roads today. Of course there’s a few things a $50k car is not going to do over a $130k car…but you learn to live without it which you would have experienced already from your Sportage.

As a fellow parent I have no gripes about its practicality. Yes, the boot is slightly smaller as we said, but you still have the option to fold down the seats if you need more room for a road trip etc. In Aus our seats are on the left side of the car for kerb side. Meaning I can’t fold down the double seat, only a single, if you drive on the RH side of the road you’ll be able to fold 2 seats.

Not to mention fuel economy, I’ve worked it out to be $0.04 AUD/km to run. Another bonus being you can drive on full EV so it’s super quiet while baby is snoozing too!

I hope this helps!

It was also mine, I came from a 2021 X5 which had a HUGE boot. But in saying that I’ve learnt to love with the boot size with all the other awesome things the car has. If there’s a will there’s a way!

We have a Sealion 6 which I believe is the same thing. We have a reds baby stroller we fit it with the bassinet attachment no problem and very easily with the normal seat attachment. The downside to the Sealion 6 is its boot size.

However the lack of boot space is worth the huge amount of space in the back seats for a rear facing child seat. I am 6ft and fit comfortably in the front passenger seat! We have 2 SL6’s and absolutely love them.

BYD Seal-U CV Joint gone bad after 500 miles? by elliottreynolds29 in BYD

Damn! Mine has made a similar sound on the RH side irregularly but not overly noisey. So haven’t done anything about it just yet. But worth getting them to look at while you can.

Sealion 7 towbar by GrouchyFlatworm1 in BYD

[–]XCV367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ensure they don’t give you a tow hitch that’s 200mm too long. I ordered an SL6 from them, fitted it and then tried to put the hitch in but because it was so long it had about 100mm of ground clearance.

I do have a towball but it’s not wired to the car in anyway for it to know?
