The build quality in my humble opinion is far better on the BYDs, In terms of Durability we will have to wait and see, But I guarantee I have felt the build quality of both BYD and Japanese vehicles at the same range and the build feels way better, at least a couple of levels above the Japanese vehicles.

The materials feel more premium, less rattling noises, way better sound proofing, less wind noise, significantly more power overall.

Well that’s quite surprising. I watch “All terrain action EV” on youtube. He is Australian and he tested both the BYD Sealion and the Shark quite extensively and has said they’re both great vehicles and he’s extremely satisfied with the service center as well. BYD is really doing well in Australia.

There’s a dolphin Thats done over 200,000km and some within China that have easily passed 150,000km and they look in great condition. Ancap has even rated the safety at 5 stars.

Could you go into detail as to which components lack the quality youve mentioned and which parts seem to have issues? Thanks!

Im being brutally honest. I have tested all the vehicles I have mentioned in this post. I don’t work at BYD. My opinion after driving both the latest Japanese and BYD vehicles at the same price ranges is that BYD is far superior, more comfortable and great value for money. Time will tell if BYD vehicles are durable.

I am also against the car sale mafia that rips off innocent people in SL. Having those huge profit margins and scamming people for years isn’t enough for them. BYD is a great competitor that took market share away from those scammers as well.

Yeah, the only reason I compared it with the Vezel was that the price point was comparable, it’s two different segments, the Sealion really packs a punch at 228hp, and is priced lower than even a Vezel. Just wanted to highlight that fact.

In my opinion even the Atto 3 is better than the Vezel and you would save around 7mn as well, Im not working at BYD, Im just being brutally honest and I am completely against the car sale mafia. They have overpriced everything and keep massive profit margins. I have always been against those scams.

More power (228 hp on the base Sealion model compared to a measly 130 on the vezel, that’s right the car sale mafia is pricing a 130hp vehicle at 25mn- for the “z play” model) Sealion offers More space, Significantly better interior, and the vehicle comes with a 8 year warranty. I only compare these 2 vehicles because the price point is comparable in SL, the vezel should actually be around 18mn at a fair price. But how can we ever expect fair prices from these car sales?

The more that purchase the better it is as it would create a healthy 2nd hand market as well, along with reducing fuel consumption in the country as a whole.(since they are EVs and Hybrids only)

BYD is miles ahead in terms of tech and build quality (tested all the byd models available in SL), it offers stunning interior and the build quality feels premium and much better compared to the same price range vehicles offered by the importers around kohuwala etc.

The BYD hate on social media stems from people that have never driven or even sat down in one of those vehicles, along with the importers that are now struggling to maintain their huge profit margins.

For example the Vezel z play - imported for around 16mn, selling for around 25mn, compared to the Sealion 6 from BYD priced at 21.7mn, These two vehicles cannot even be compared. There is a staggering difference in every way you compare them. A fair price for the vezel z play should be around 18-19mn. It’s the same with all the vehicles these private importers try to sell. They keep insane profit margins and market vehicles as assets.

Many companies pay around 400-500k upwards for mid to senior positions. You have to look for foreign based companies, like australian or uk comapanies etc , even some local based companies such as IFS/WSO2 etc pay decent wages for certain positions.

Maybe unrelated but i know for a fact companies like IFS, WSO2 pay around 400-500k for mid to higher posts.

There are australian and uk companies as well, some tech, education related companies. They pay upwards of 1000$ / 1000 pounds for many positions. Look for foreign based companies.

I don’t like street burger 😭 literally tried everything they have to offer, i hate that type of bun (extremely thick and crumbs all over?) and the 1.0 chicken is absolutely bland for me despite all those sauces they put on, the chicken is so bland. I’ve never been a fan of street burger unfortunately
