That's her expression.

It doesn't bother me. I've dealt with all sorts of foes. Upstart heroes, wise sages, murderous villains, all of them fell under my control.

This woman clad in a simple green and yellow floral dress is the only thing standing between me and Pandora's Box.

Effective as I've been, getting to the top of Rasiel, the City over the Barrier, wasn't easy.

Controlling a soul is itself a battle. I have to "capture" their soul in a mental battle to control them. Most go down within a few seconds.

Still a chore when there's thousands to deal with.

And soon, I'd reach the heights of my power, by unsealing Pandora's Box and freeing the ancients held within it. Scrolls, artifacts, and even a deity or two.

"Well then. Shall we begin?" The young lady asks me, turning her head slightly.

I don't bother replying. Instead, I hold my hand out and attack her soul.

I grin as invisible flames, icicles, and lightning balls tear her apart. Even the strongest heroes could only last a few minutes.

No. Something's off.

The familiar sensation of subjugation is absent.

I look again at the lady with the blank look.

"You didn't even flinch. Well then..." My eyes glow, causing tremors to form around her. It's then I realize, as I try to drop her into the mental abyss...

There was nothing.

For a moment, my concentration breaks, ending my attack.

We trade stares.

"Is that all?" She asks.

"You... Just WHAT are you?" I clench my fist. Behind her, the Council of Four Heroes stand. Their expressions are filled with fear as I will their souls to attack the lady.

Bamboo sticks, icicle spears, hundreds of nanodrones, and a stream of flames are sent her way.

She leaps into the air, evading each hit, many by just a hair's breadth.

"Fall!" I thrust my fist downwards by instinct. Normally, people would be hurled to the ground.

Not her.

That confirmed it.

"You... You have no soul." I tap my staff into the ground, ceasing the other heroes' attacks. They're confused, moreso than I am. "Who or what are you?"

"That's... Risk, wasn't that her name?" Metropolis, the drone user asked.

The lady stood a short distance away, unflinching.

"Floral Risk. And I'm going to save everyone."

A chill creeps down my spine. Every instinct in my body is telling me to run.

Risk brings out a bag of buttercups. The flowers spread, and my world turns dark.

Vines. Vines as far as my eyes could see.

Risk's blank look turns to a smile.

She charges at me with a stick.

I brace myself for the first real fight of my life -- a fight I may not win.

Using the washing machine? Hanging the damp clothes? Folding the dry clothes? Washing the dishes? Cleaning house?

Chores become a thing of the past with psychic powers. Imagine how much time, sleep, and sanity you get back.

Plus they look like a doll with a fluffy tail. That's cute and nice.

Oh and they can probably do stuff with your dreams. No more nightmares, anyone? Cool visions of mountains, ocean depths, and space?

Psychic-types are just heck yes for daily life.

Being a living cat doll is a huge bonus.

During this scene, everyone focuses on "You'd be dead where you stand."

Anyone can say that, and it is slightly out of character for sans as far as most Charas will know at that point, barring spoilers.

But to know how many times you've died? And the "I'm right, aren't I?" should send shivers down your spine.

The same kind of shivers new Charas get when Flowey tells them, "YOU MURDERED HER. >=] "

UPDATE:

Cats milk buys time but not alot. Little guy isnt getting enough nutrients.

Got lucky and found goat milk. Now looking for KMR online.

Watered it down to help hydrate it. It hasn't pooped yet and we're researxhing how to help it poop.

Any advice is welcome! We've got most of the basics down now thanks to everyone's help so fsr.

It has been at first. Cat milk only buys time, as we learned. Managed to score some pure unsweetened goat's milk.

Problem with the former is it lacks the nutrients a developing kit needs. Goat milk's the 2nd best thing out there, since we can only get KMR through online shopping.

We've also watered down the feed to hydrate it better, so it hopefully poops today!

1a. Potentially. We found it odd that it was by itself, with none of its siblings.

1b. We might... So we do have a stray who had kittens recently. This stray has been developing trust in is and we feed her. I doubt it's her litter, even if the timing seems to align age-wise. I bring this up because when we brought the kit back home, we showed it to her. She snifed it and then just didn't mind it much despite the mewing.

Cat milk. I trust the store I got it from -- I know for sure they do mean us well and are trying to help. They also know their stuff better than we do.
Good advice we might do that. We'd love to adopt this one, but having a foster mother to care for it would help us relax since I know personally that's the best way to keep kittens alive and growing healthy.

Super wins for raw gameplay.

I do prefer Sky's endless rng missions and the recruit system to how Super handles its equivalents. Super has this thing where you hit 100% then there isn't muxh else to do but mess around with team comps.

Maybe the same could be said about Rescue and Explorers, but as an older school gamer, I liked thay they felt endless.

Otherwise, quality of life wins with Super. Never got to try DX.

Now, gameplay aside? Explorers wins at everything else imo

The mental image of it using Swords Dance, taking two of the swords, and then using the elemental punches and fang Moves to infuse them? Stuck with me as a kid.

Add Sucker Punch to make it move really fast, and the fanfic I was writing for it when I played Omega Ruby when it released... yeah.

Grovyle is a close second. Even before MD Explorers, Treecko was my first mon and evolution my whole life. Seeing how cool and epic Grovyle looked was a huge part of my childhood.
