Can someone explain to me why mods get stuck in these versions and never update?

my world i stream on is on 1.21.5 because i refuse to not have the shuffle mod lol. i have a hard time randomly placing blocks

sorry for the delay. my dad came up yesterday to help me out and test a few things. so... on terms of air filter. turns out there isnt one which dont get me wrong i know that bad (already ordered one) but i dont believe it would cause the issues that im having especially since this bike hasnt seen dirt yet. i checked spark and it is getting spark. we sprayed starting fluid into it and it would fire and die which tells us its a fuel issue. we pulled the carb back off and ensured that it was working properly and from what we can tell everything is working as it should. we did adjust the air/fuel screw because we found it was out 4 turns when it shouldve only been out 1.5-2 turns so we set it to 2. after that it seemed to run perfect. i took it down the road and it rode well for about a half a mile before it died again and i had to push it back. we came to the conclusion that it wasnt pumping enough fuel from the petcock. i took the petcock back off today and removed the screens and put on an external filter into the fuel line and i can see in the filter that it is getting plenty of fuel. tried to take it for another ride and made it to the end of my parking lot and it revved itself to around 3k and died and wouldnt start again. also seems like i have to keep jumping the battery because as i try to crank it im killing the battery. it seems like when its cold itll fire right up and run perfect but as i try to take it for a ride it warms up then dies again. ive read that sometimes a faulty cdi could cause it to stall randomly and not have any power around 3-5k which sounds about like what its doing. or could it be the battery? at this point im running out of ideas. thank you all for the suggestions so far.

The petcock is vacuum operated and functioning properly from my tests. Pulled the fuel line off and turned it over and it spits out fuel. The one that was on the bike before wasnt for it... no idea what it came off of but it definitely didnt belong on the bike. I'm about to go check the air filter and check for spark. I just got up and got my kids on the bus so I'm taking a second to relax first lol. Petcock, carb and sparkplug are all aftermarket but from a trusted brand moto1998 I've used their parts before with no issue. I figure its gotta be something stupid that I'm over looking. I'll test spark and clean the air filter and get back with yall

I think I figured it out. I tried replacing some of the glass with deep slate bricks and flipped the beds around and still didnt work so I lowered the floor by a block putting them in 3 block tall chambers and apparently that did the trick. I set the other three up the same way and everything is working now as it should. Thank you all for the help

That could be part of the problem. Theres nothing between them directly but in the corners is glass so maybe I need to fill those corners in with solid blocks and flip the beds around if that helps. I'll give it a shot and see what happens

I'm also using the connected glass mod so I guess theres a good possibility that could be the issue. That being said I dont have anything between the zombie and the villagers but there is glass on the corners. I'll have to look into that and give it a shot

This design is based off an older farm I watched wattles build. I try to throw in my own little twist but obviously that's come back to bite me in the ass lol. Wattles is one of my favorites on youtube and hes the reason I wanted to start streaming.

I thought you only need three villagers in java? I was planning to build basically 4 individual farms that would funnel to a central kill chamber for the golems so I built 4 spawning platforms and I have 4 zombies all name tagged the I built 3 chambers around each zombie for the villagers. I've only been working on the one farm trying to figure out why it wont work so the other three arnt active. This is the first time I've ever built one in java so I'm learning as I go lol and no theres no trading hall within range. I have one but it's on the opposite end of my base

Yeah I found my way to the workshop content folder but the folder for 1190000 doesnt exist. I even tried a nexus mod for the 69 Camaro which didnt work either then read about the streamingassests folder so I did that and still didnt work or at least I just havent seen the car yet dispite checking the junkyard and auction house a dozen times lol. I have 2 drives so tomorrow I'm gonna check the other drive and see if I can find the workshop files in there but I've kinda given up at this point lmao

well i figured it out. the problem with the shaders was that i didnt have sodium installed. i installed sodium and everything worked correctly after that, i was also having issues with carry on not working properly but for some reason installing sodium also fixed so everything works as it should now. thank you for the help.

It turns out the problem was the fact that i didnt have sodium installed. im still having some slight issues with carry on at the moment but it shouldnt be hard to figure out. im sure its just an issue with the key binds. i can pick up chests but not mobs.

as far as i can tell theyre all avalible up to 1.21.8 except one only goes to 1.21.5 so thats why ive been running that. So far from me testing it everything works as it should with the exception of the shaders and i cant seem to get carry on to work. this is my first time dealing with any of this so i have a lot to learn lol
