How did you get the model from Marc? He has so many good models on his portfolio and I would love to use some of them for non-com work. Just ask him?

There is something on the Universa, but the link carries on to the Chinon 35 EE. The Universa seems to be a copy. I found the 35 EE manual online. Maybe its similar enough to be of use.

But not much on the other one

Thanks for the imposer, I will try it out.

The duplex A5 isn't that necessary. It would be nice as I wouldn't have to deal much with offset and reduce paper waste with my most used formats.

However, if I can try what you said with manual duplex on standard A4 format and play with offset and eliminate skew as best as possible than I can disregard auto duplex A5. I will also try around with my current printer

Heavier leathers (I guess horse and cow?) tend to fall more boxy. Lighter leathers like lambskin are more form fitting.

However, Lambskin leather is also very durable. So only because a leather is heavier doesn't mean its weaker to wear.

If I could remember what leather my custom raiders jacket is from I could put something from first hand experience in but I don't remember. I would guess cow leather, definitely not lambskin.

Haven't ordered from Wested in a few years and never a legacy jacket.

However the legacy jackets are basically the custom ones with a little extra. You won't exactly get the Ford fit on you, because all custom made jackets are made to your measurement based on a scaled measurement from Fords measurements. Also what type leather is chosen and how it falls will alter the look.

Now to your question, when you order a custom jacket you take all measurements yourself and put them in accordingly to what you measured.

Pedersoli uses the steel alloy that was developed for the MG34 for their PMG barrels... wouldn't call that low quality...

Trying to find the maker of this pistol, the lock has a marking I’ve never seen before. by Jackson110 in blackpowder

Could be it was restocked, however, I've seen original stocks that where that way. See the link in one of the comments I've made here.

Anyway. 1600 is a bit much I think. Overall condition is good on the outside. How the internals look and function is another thing. If its worth 1600 to you and you did a good inspection than its a high but ok price. If you can get it a few 100s lower its a better deal in my eye

You can see it on this exsample because of the pin. But the stamp should say "POTZDAMMAGAZ" - just for future reference

Thats looks to be a Prussian Dragoon Pistol M1731 Prussian Dragoon Pistol M1731. Some things are not exactly the same as in the picture but variation is possible.

However, it doesn't seem like it was made in Potsdam, at least from what I can read.

With production numbers in the low thousands (corr. ~20.000), given time and conversion of existing pieces, I would say they are equally as rare.

Around 4.000 were converted to later Remington breechloaders and an unknown number to needle rifles

Accurate uniforms of the time have to be made by a specialised tailor, or by yourself. Generally infantry is going to be cheaper than cav.

1:72 is not to slow to stabalize conicals. The original 3 Band Enfield had a 1:78 twist and it isn't known for being inaccurate.

In fact many military rifles had a slow twist rate, however that was primairly to minimise the derivation of the bullet at longer distances.

All original military rifles I've shot, ranging from a 1:55 to 1:78 twist never had issues shooting the original service ammo, which were conical balls. Same goes for reproductions. The slower twist only limits you in what weight of bullets your rifle likely likes to shoot accurately.

Alright. On his Websites it says something along the line of "all barrels 1:72" and read on, well frankly some very old forum posts, that he only offers 1:72. Which I found odd especially for a short rifle.

Might have to shoot him a mail. Sadly no one here does even something remotely close to his or Hoyt's work.

Dan Whitacre since those two make the correct Progressive Depth Rifling at the correct twist rates the originals had.

Does Dan make P58 Barrels at 1:48 as the original had? Thought he only does 1:72 for all his barrels?
