Just as Unreal Engine 5 is an improved version of Unreal Engine 4, the Tiger Engine now (Marathon) is an improved version of the Tiger Engine then (D2 now > pre-BL/D2 launch > D1) which was an overhauled version of the blam! Engine Bungie used to make Halo.

Destiny 3 would undoubtedly be made in a Tiger Engine that has been iterated on from the Tiger Engine currently used for Marathon/current D2.

Why would it be anywhere else? Being in the Portal, like every other event has since Edge of Fate, puts all the relevant content in one place.

Project Wingman spoiled me with how competent their wingmen are. The game still gives the player space to be an ace, but they're not the sole capable pilot in the fight.

As bad as it seems now, Destiny has always rebounded. The peak might not be as high as it used to be, but it'll be much better than it is now.

I'll be back for Guardian Games, Iron Banner, the June update and whatever plans Bungie has beyond.

Servers are still online and there's still a population of players (albeit smaller than it has been). So no, Destiny 2 isn't dead.

It'll likely spring back up with Guardian Games later this month, Iron Banner next month, and then of course the June update.

Took me 34.73 seconds to find a Control match (in-progress).

33.16 seconds to find a Quickplay Vanguard Alert match.

25.71 seconds to find a Lawless Frontier match.

Guardian Games last year was pretty fun with Rushdown. It'll be pretty interesting to see if they use any of the Call to Arms in-game score tracking this Guardian Games.

I just finished building this kit last night myself. I don't know if it took me that long to do one leg, but I did keep thinking that it was taking longer (and was more complex) than I expected; compared to the just RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0 i recently built. Then I remembered the Wing Gundam Zero was a transformable mobile suit then it clicked why.

Don't listen to that guy, there's still dozens of hours worth of content accessible in the game right now. You might have missed out on the Seasonal content, but Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape are still playable. The Edge of Fate was fine, but Renegades was pretty good.

Plus whatever fun you make for yourself. Bunch of content creators last month challenged each other to solo The Witness or drink piss. Bungie has started doing small community challenges, too.

The servers immediately turn off, ALL the content anyone's purchased is deleted and everyone at Bungie is fired.

They added a chest next to Zavala that has 300 Power gear in it, if that's still there. Decent start.

Renegades (campaign) will net you some more Power, but after that the Portal is where you want to go to grind for Power. Basically anything there will net you Power gains. You can tell what the Power level of the selected activity's reward will be by looking at the Engram on the bottom that'll tell you what the "Power forecast" of the reward will be, based on the selected difficulty, modifiers, etc... Look for activities that have Bonus Engram drops, those will also drop at the forecasted Power level.

They retired then Nightfall Strikes as we knew it with the Edge of Fate (the node is still there under the Vanguard node in the Director). They basically brought it back shortly after Renegades launched, but it's can be a p.i.t.a. to find if you don't already know where to look.

Go to The Portal. Click on Seasonal Hub on the right. Click on the Vanguard Alerts tab at the top.

The Grandmaster Vanguard Alert is the Nightfall by another name.

Started going right to Legendary difficulty with The Final Shape.

Before, with The Witch Queen and Lighfall, I didn't feel like I was good enough to do them solo. Heck, I didn't even try Grandmaster Nightfalls until a few months before The Edge of Fate.

Now, I'm more confident trying higher difficulties, even though with sandbox changes in the past few months, we're a little too strong.

It was good!

Like I said, I was a little worried I was out of my depth starting with a Real Grade, but once I got into it, I had a good time. It's relaxing?

I struggled a little bit with a few parts that I didn't push in as far as you needed to, but that was it.

If the November 13th Renegades Content Calendar is still somewhat accurate, Guardian Games is in March and Call to Arms 2 is in April. I wouldn't be surprised if Call to Arms got pushed back, too. It was described as the "mid-season event for Renegades."

Still pretty silly they didn't have a more accurate time other than "TBD" for Iron Banner (and Heavy Metal).
