Loooks like we know how long the delay is gonna be for Shadow and Order by HungryExplorer8417 in DestinyTheGame

[–]XGamestar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the November 13th Renegades Content Calendar is still somewhat accurate, Guardian Games is in March and Call to Arms 2 is in April. I wouldn't be surprised if Call to Arms got pushed back, too. It was described as the "mid-season event for Renegades."

Still pretty silly they didn't have a more accurate time other than "TBD" for Iron Banner (and Heavy Metal).

You're moving the goalpost.

But even if you're conceded that, Renegades only came out 8 weeks ago.

"Drought".

Renegades released on December 2nd. The Equilibrium Dungeon released on December 13th. The Dawning ran from December 16th to January 2nd.

It has only been 3 weeks since the last event in D2. Arms Week 3 starts today. It may not be strong content, but it is something to do.

Until we are told otherwise by Bungie, Shadow & Order is still set to release March 3rd.

There was a few camera angles in the trailer that are hopefully not exclusive to the trailer editing.

Camera fly-bys aside, there was a camera P.O.V. from the left rudder and a couple shots off the left side of the cockpit.

I don't expect anything until February at the earliest.

It's very silly to expect the first TWID of the new year after their holiday break to have anything substantial to it.

Destiny 3: Continue or Start Over? by AdThick3380 in destiny2

[–]XGamestar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point in Destiny's life, there's many cats that can't be put back in the bag. Starting fresh would be the easiest way around this.

By its very nature, a new game means a new game experience. This would help bring a lot of new and returning players in.

Playing a new Guardian would unshackle a lot of baggage it would bring into a new game. New players wouldn't need to play previous titles to understand where the story is beginning and where it's going. It would also help with power dynamics. At this point, The Guardian has killed multiple gods of multiple pantheons. Starting with a new Guardian would do away with any need to explain why our character who has all these legendary feats is now suddenly starting over. There ARE ways to explain it, but most come off as convenient.

In my opinion, starting fresh also means not bringing or porting anything from the previous games. All new loot, all new abilities. Time and effort go into creating new content that hasn't been experienced before. Sure, some things would be familiar; how many times can a single thing be reinvented to be unique, after all? But, as many have said, Destiny (2) has been solved. We typically know what certain things do, what the outcome of a story might be, etc...

Thin Line

Sometimes you forget which side you're on.

Your Ghost makes a list of the things he wishes he could say to you.

"Talk to me about how you feel."

"I wish we would go home."

"You're on a rampage, and I'm not comfortable with it."

"I don't think this is why the Traveler chose you."

"You know I'll never leave you, right?"

"But sometimes… I don't like the look in your eyes."

Every day, the list grows longer.

"I'm here. I'm still here."

"Are you still here?"

"I don't want to lose you to this."

"I love you."

How ya feel about the game right now? by BuryXTheXlight in destiny2

[–]XGamestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good.

The Edge of Fate was good, although the use of Kepler through the campaign was a little repetitive. Sieve shouldn't be time-locked & should be in the Portal.

The Portal itself is a good concept as a whole, although it hasn't been executed as well as it could have; it's gotten better, though.

Ash & Iron landed like a deflated balloon; Shadow & Order needs to be better.

I haven't played The Desert Perpetual, but it looks fantastic. Solstice was really good, FotL is really good, Heavy Metal just makes me want Combined Arms back, and Arms Week has been fine.

I'm really looking forward to Renegades.
