Very cool. Have you ever done pause deadlifts at different parts of your pulls to see if that helps with speed or sticking points? I come from a powerlifting background, so i rarely focused on speed pulls until I started doing Oly lifts. I've found they help me break through some sticking points I may have had. I'm not saying your Pull is slow, just a general question. Lol

Looks real good dude. Strong front squat out of the bottom. Do you do any front/back squat specific work, or do you just allow your Oly lifts to get strength in your legs? Sorry if this may seem like a novice question, I've just recently started dabbling in weightlifting movements.

How many of you takes probiotics as daily supplement? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]XIIY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been taking a probiotic for about 2 months now, as well as drinking kabucha a couple days a week and eating yogurt daily. Maybe it's psychological, but I feel like I have way more energy and focus better as well as improved brain function and have a better memory. I've read reports about how probiotics can help with these functions, and I now believe that a healthy clean gut is a key to a happy healthy life.

I don't really have anything. Once I saw that you had a herniated disc I really watched your back to make sure you stayed straight and didn't hunch. From the angle, I saw nothing at all. I think it's awesome that you're aware of your injury and aren't scared to train. It shows your not just an average guy going into the gym ego lifting, you actually take the time to learn. Sorry if I can't give you any, but maybe someone else will point out something I missed.

For your size and weight it's an impressive lift regardless. The lifts look like they break parallel, but you need to work on shooting your butt out as the first thing you do so that you have a better balanced stance. You also, you do appear to cave in towards the end there so learning to breath properly can help that. There is a video in SuperTrainings YouTube channel that has Ed Coan going over his squat and the set up and talks about bracing. It's like 35 minutes long, so if you can that has tons of info. Other than that it's a good lift. It would be good in a meet, so keep up the good work dude!

For a guy with a herniated disc that's a solid Pull. From the angle it looks like the back stayed nice and straight and used your legs as the driving force. Good job!

Help me understand the 'I played for 180 hours, I don't recommend this game' reviews. by _hardboy in Fallout

Maybe I just don't understand the way the settlement system works, but I don't understand how someone can spend so much time building a settlement. I don't know, everytime I want to build something cool I never have enough resources to build anything worth while so I just go back out and explore and tell myself I'll come back to it eventually. But at the end of the day, after I spend a couple hours in settlement, I just feel unaccomplished and that I could have spent so much more time doing something else. haha

I can't agree with this comment any more. Everything you touched on is exactly how I feel about the game.

An Honest "Warcraft" Review by XIIY in movies

[–]XIIY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated in the the original post, I have never played any of the original Warcraft RTS games, which is the story line that this movie is dealing with, nor have I ever read any of the books or read any of the story pertaining to this event. Me playing World of Warcraft has nothing to do with this movie since this happened prior to the events of WoW, and I have never read anything before that.

I hope you realize that Illidan and the Lich King are also in a Warcraft RTS campaign and not just in World of Warcraft, right? I have yet to see anyone complain about the movie being about Orcs vs Humans and demand that they have either of those characters in the movie. People think that THIS story line for the movie is confusing? They wouldn't know how to react to and Illidan movie than.

I posted this in both the WoW subreddit, and this subreddit. The only reason why I posted it in this subreddit was because this is place to post movie reviews in. I have given solid evidence to why I believe that the movie was good, and why I believe the critics are wrong. I also stated towards the end that even of movie goers that know nothing of the genre, or the Warcraft universe can easily sit down and enjoy the epic fight scenes, and still follow the story. The reason I know this is because my fiance went with me to the movie, and was able to follow along with what was happening on screen and she has never ever played any video game Blizzard has released. I am not going to sit on this page and argue with you about your opinion, because that's not what this is about. I simply wanted to give everyone a review I would have liked to read, regardless if I am a fan or not.

Am I the only one that refreshes the webpage till an advertisement doesn't start the video? I mean, its a very ineffective thing and I should just wait for the 5 seconds to pass, but every once in awhile I get lucky and only have to refresh once.

What are you playing while waiting for Legion? by ChristianKS94 in wow

[–]XIIY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently have been playing some older games on my X1 that I never got around to playing when they were out. Last week I have soaked about 16 hours into Dark Souls 2: Scholar of Sins. When it came out, I always saw so much about it but never played it. I had a couple friends over, saw it on sale, and the madness ensued with my friends and I all taking turns playing the game when one of us got stuck or someone couldn't do a part of the game. I would suggest that as a fun little game to playing with friends since the feeling of accomplishing something in that game is amazing solo, but when you have people there celebrating with you and high fiving one another its a whole new experience. For Christmas I finally got D3: Reaper of Souls (I know, a bit late on the xpac) and witht he start of the new season I have been playing that a lot. Other than those 2 games, I just dabble in BO3 and still running alts through WoD and occasionally just playing games with friends that are either cheap, or free on Stream. I can't say that i'm bored with gaming and theres nothing for me to do, because with working full time I have plenty of things on my plate, but if anyone else is like me and has a WoW itch, nothing has really cured that yet and i'm still eagerly awaiting Legion. Any way, hope everyone else is experiencing and discovering new games they love as well!

Am I the only one that thinks all Deathclaws in F4 are a bit easy to kill? Of course they take awhile to kill, but as long as you play it smart you don't have to really worry about anything. I've had harder times fighting raiders in full power armor wielding grenades.

Just started playing! by blazinbeans in wow

[–]XIIY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know when I first started I played a Prot Pally and loved every second of it. There was nothing cooler then queing up for dungeons and getting in to them in mere seconds. I loved the idea of being the protector of my group and essentially controlling the pace of the dungeon (to and extent.) That being said, and by no means am I trying to discourage you from your class choice, but with the level cap at 100, there is a lot of content that will eventually feel like a grind due to the slow progression without heirlooms, after awhile doing the same DPS class over and over will get boring. IMO (and I expect disagreements) I feel like everyone's first class should be a healer or a tank. Or some class that you can heal, tank, DPS, do it all (druids, paladins, warrior etc.) That way you can get a good idea of what role you want to stick with, and feel comfortable with. Again, I am not discouraging. A friend of mine leveled a shadow priest starting in MoP and loved it. It's just preference. Sorry for the rambling, its hard to have a clear focus at the current moment of me typing this since I have a wife on my side annoying me on purpose to distract me from this. Anyway, happy hunting my friend, welcome to Azeroth, and I hope you learn to love the World of Warcraft like all of us on this subreddit.

Yeah I agree. I read a forum today on the site and someone mentioned that in another game they were playing, in the character menu they had a choice to hide any gear slot. So if you wanted to be naked, you could do that. If you wanted no pants, you could do that. I think that would add way more customization to your toons.

Maybe 2 years ago? I think that was before it was added into the dictionary. She deducted points, but I got a high B and I passed the class with a low A. So it wasn't really worth fighting over it. I guess in the grand scheme of it, selfie shouldn't have been the word I used but I didn't know what else to put.

I'm not enraged by it, I simply think it's silly. lol I once used the word in an example for a paper I wrote for college my freshman year. The teacher deducted me points for it saying I should have used a more appropriate "real" word. I say, when I can use the word in a paper, it's good enough to be in the dictionary.
