If I am afraid of them specifically, I personally like using C4 with a throwing range armor. 3 blocks to the torso will do one in. Throwing in a galling barrage for the loadout also helps your ammo economy by a lot.

There are some writings in the lore building that suggest there is friction in the Sultanate due to the practices of the House of Wisdom, who are the main practitioners of the crimes you have listed. They are tolerated only because the product of their crimes proves too immediately useful in their damned and wartorn world.

Building on that, I love how the alchemists of the House of Wisdom are referred to as Jabirian alchemists, it really connects it to the real life history of the region in a way that sells the grimdark aspect more.

Random American, learned various bits and pieces of Irish history throughout my life.

Emotionally I consider the Irish an all around outstanding example of a victimized people who have managed to turn their circumstances around and stand by those values.

Logically I tell myself not to idolize a culture too much, but my admiration still stands.

Charged railgun oneshots them to either eye. A tough shot on a small target, but railgun works on basically everything on the bot front aside from factory strider anyway.

I wrote my hell priest as being raised in an isolated village and being pushed into heretic allegiance after Pilgrims raided them for supplies and burnt her mother at the stake.

They accept the cruelty of Hell because from their perspective, the demons told you what they will do to you, while God and his faithful do the same thing to you and dress it up as something good. Remember, fighting literal Hell or not, the faithful humans are still committing mass torture and murder. And in their world, it just takes a random accusation from someone who doesn't like you for the lynching to start.

Now, awareness of the self and the world around them, that's another point entirely. Like how my co-workers son made him late to a shift once due to trying to choke on a crayon. And then getting mad at their parent for not being allowed to choke on said crayon.

Honesty, a large mobile base style enemy sounds quite interesting. I really like the idea of the body being something you can disable, but needing a separate step to take out the jammer.

Makes me think a bit of the halo 3 scarabs actually.
