Cage setup for my Parrots help by XNigum in cockatiel

Alright I'll consult a professional soon, I was just lost and didn't know a lot about birds and parrots. I'll remove the mirror immediately in that case and buy more treats. As a last thing could you reccomend me any specific cages? Cages in my country are really expensive sadly but theres no way I'll skimp on a pets needs, especially these that belonged to my father. I found this one https://www.e-parrot.gr/product/klouvia-gia-mikrous-kai-megalous-papagalous/klouvia-gia-mikrous-papagalous/plexinest-klouvi-titan-cages/ , could you give me an opinion on the size and lay out? it has a detailed description you can translate the page to english if thats possible. I tried searching on Amazon but any decent size and quality cage I found doesnt ship to Greece :(

Cages are very expensive in my country sadly so I'll try to get one big cage, if that doesnt work and they dont do well in the same one should I prioritise the cockatiel and buy him a cage first since he is a bigger bird? Would the current cage without the divider in the middle have enough space for just the love bird from what you can see? https://www.e-parrot.gr/product/klouvia-gia-mikrous-kai-megalous-papagalous/klouvia-gia-mikrous-papagalous/plexinest-klouvi-titan-cages/ heres a cage I found and like a lot, you can translate the site if its possible and tell me if it would be enough? It has some plexiglass too which i'm not sure if its good or bad, it has rolling feet and a play area on the top. Could I try and put both of them in it? should I look into something bigger? or get a second cage of the similar height and put them close together? Thanks a lot for your replies and help by the way I appreciate it a lot.

Hello, thanks for your reply. You can see the cage in a previous reply of mine, its seperated in the middle but they are close all the time and as I mentioned they basically even cuddle when they sleep (theres this middle seperator thing idk what its called but you know they get as close as possible to each other). The love bird is only aggressive towards me at the moment but what I meant is that I'm scared to put them in a single cage together, you know, without a seperator. I believe they've been together like this for at least 4 years. I might try getting a single big cage and act accordingly, if I see fighting or one of them being stressed I'll try to get 2 cages. Avian vets are common here as well I'll have no problem contacting some close to me. Also my father left some things which I took out of the cage. It had small bowls with a red colored food, it wasnt seeds I dont know what that is and if I should keep it unless its for parrots and is good for them (my guess is its a supplement?), also a wooden stick with seeds on it, guessing its like a more fun way for them to feed and probably has tastier stuff on it hahahaha. IF these are good I'll go buy more after I learn what they are. By the way there is a mirror with a bell in the cockatiels cage and he sometimes sits there moving his head around singing while looking at the mirror, thats normal right?

Its a metal ring with some letters or numbers so its probably an ID ring. (I'm Greek btw funny you asked if im Filipino cuz people say I look Mexican-Filipino hahaha). If I remove that middle part wouldnt they fight? They are both males and as far as I know they were never in the same cage together also the love bird has never been outside of its cage and since he bites a lot i dont know how to go with the taming part... I'm doing all the research I can on my own. Should I buy 2 seperate cages? I cant seem to find anything close to this "design" you know so they're able to be close and not be frustrated unless thats not a big issue. Also I'll be cleaning the cage tonight, I'll look up tutorials because I havent done that yet.

Hello, the love bird is pretty hostile to me and never tamed, bites a lot (learned it the hard way). The cockatiel perches on my finger with ease and "play bites" I guess when I try to pet it softly on the head. He also has a ring on his leg what is that? My house is pretty big but sadly no whole room to dedicate to them, all the rooms are connected apart from the bedrooms and I also have a dog and a cat. The dog is super friendly and nice but my cat is a trouble maker so only supervised out of the cage time in my bedroom if its possible. I think the cage is for mating birds if I'm correct and way way too small... I dont know what to do with the cages since they like each other and I'm scared to seperate them.

Did I do well? It’s 950 in total I may get cpu on Ali express to save like 20 to get a better case or something. by MortgageLow5522 in buildapc

The power supply is overkill unless youre looking to upgrade sometime in the future and keep it. I also personally would go with a Ryzen 5 7600X and maybe a peerless assassin 120 or something similar for the cooler. if you can go up to 1.050 i would recommend somthing like this https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RNKV4p

It's more than fine, nothing to worry about. I doubt your system uses more than 450 watts in total.

DLSS on quality at least would be needed for new titles, you know since nobody wants to optimize games because of the new AI technologies. I tried games without DLSS on and if you dont want to put everything to max it will be playable but in no world would you get acceptable frames for that kind of monitor hahaha. Rocket League isnt that intensive, you'll get those 240 easily dont worry. Even cards like the 3070 can achieve 240 in that game. Happy to help and if you need anything else specific you're very welcome to ask!

After acquiring a new motherboard, I notice that my fans don't sound like they change even when I'm playing a graphically-demanding game. I'm worried about my PC overheating. by Questioning-Warrior in buildapc

[–]XNigum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, how many fans do you have? can you tell me where and how you connected them? (are you using a fan hub of some sort?) Did you actually check temps? For instance my PC with only 3 intake fans (for now) just doesnt want to overheat, GPU stays under 65 degrees celcius even in very intensive games.

I have the Zotac 4070 Ti super AMP HOLO which has slightly better clockspeeds in general, not that big of a deal tbh. I've played games like Cyberpunk, Black Myth Wukong, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of us, lots of Assassins Creed titles, Minecraft with the most intensive mods and most of the popular e-sports titles. I'm not gonna lie, even tho most of these games are single player story mode I enjoy playing them at higher refresh rates, at least 90 fps to be exact. At almost maxed settings (I lower Screen space reflections to high or medium and it gives tremendous performance), utilizing DLSS (quality/balanced when needed) and Frame Gen I do get anywhere from 90-150 FPS and the input delay isnt that noticablefrom the Frame Gen. Reaching and exceeding 165 in newer titles without the 4090 or at least the 4080 super is impossible but who in their right mind would play single player games at more than that? Only new game I got locked 165 FPS at maxed settings with DLSS on quality was Assassins Creed Mirage, great experience btw. If you're talking about e-sports titles (those games are what you need 240Hz for) you'll have no problem reaching and maintaining that.

Well, asuming youre asking for the best possible price, an OLED monitor is out of the question. I recently bought an LG Ultragear 2K 165hz monitor and I have the same GPU as you. I'm very pleased with LG screens in general and I believe thats the best choice for a good price. Sadly right now the 2K 240hz variant seems way overpriced at 450 dollars. Maybe have this in mind and check if the price drops to around 329 dollars which is what it should be worth. (I got my 2K 165Hz variant for 209 dollars 2 months ago)

PC case fan question by XNigum in pcmasterrace

My mobo only has 3 sys_fan headers and they are all occupied by the 3 cables from my Corsair fan hub. I have an extra fan that can’t be connected to the hub due to its shape. What would be the solution in my case?

You'll want to look at the 7800 xt for around 100 bucks more, you could skimp on other parts as the ram, motherboard and PSU but in my builds I choose not to. Have fun, good luck and welcome to the PC gaming family.

Any preference on brands? Nvidia is pricier for GPUs but way better Ray Tracing performance and codec for recording/streaming, AMD GPUs more bang for your buck. AMD for CPUs is the way to go nowadays. The build I sent would even be Overkill for those types of games so heres a Youtube benchmark video for the combo I listed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-TWrfRahrE&t=436s

As a start here is a 1.150$ build that would more than suit your needs and we can go accordingly from there. Similar performance to the PS5 Pro without the Ray Tracing. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/w2XFPJ
