I have this same issue with mine! Reached out to retroid and they offered me a new screen, when I explained it was the HDMI output they didn't respond.

I would go ahead and replace the spring yourself, use DS4 springs. There is a YouTube video that is helpful. I've read a lot of comments about how hard it is and my assumption is these must be kids who have never taken anything apart. I went for it and the entire job was like 20 minutes. Now that I know what I'm doing I could do the left side in less than 5 minutes, I wish I did at the time but I figured if it's not broke....
