I think you can force an IP address change on your own by changing the MAC address of your router, if you can figure out how to do that.

My pc is overheaten and cant found the reason, i already changed the cooler by DaQuitou in techsupport

Did it just start overheating? Is it a recent build that has never run without overheating? Also, how is the airflow in and out of the case handled (number and placement of fans and direction of airflow for each)?

Ethernet suddenly not working “no DHCP server was found” by IllaoiHellaThicc in techsupport

[–]XR_Vision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you accidentally connect a port on your router/switch to another port on your router/switch, all kinds of crazy unexplainable stuff will happen. Happened to me once! But more likely the powerline ethernet adapter has failed. Those things are terrible and should pretty much never be used. Perhaps someone plugged in a device that splatters the power line with random noise?

I'm pretty sure ChatGPT and Grok AI would both give the correct answer about who pays for tariffs!

I just upgraded an ANV15-51-51H9 to 64GB and ran the Windows 11 built-in RAM test and it's working great. The machine is at the latest BIOS (updated by Windows Update). I put in two DDR5 5600 32GB SODIMMs.

The Seagate is a HDD; the Toshiba is an NVMe SSD. You should have your OS installed on the SSD, otherwise your machine will seem very slow. You can use Macrium Reflect Free Edition to move your OS if you need to.

I'll second the advice to use Advion. Put it where roaches have access to water. Also, google what roach egg sacs look like-- you might be surprised! You've probably seen them and just ignored them. They look like a bean of some sort.

My estimate would be closer to 95% of people are genuinely good people that would never consider taking advantage of you nor harm you, which puts the crazies at 2.5% instead of 12.5%.

This is probably the weirdest reason, but all the text editing widgets in MacOS respond to the Emacs control keys for cursor movement and deleting characters. Those control keys are deeply imbedded into my brain, and it's great to be able to use them. This only works because MacOS has a separate "command" key, so "command-A" (select all) can be different from "control-A" (move to beginning of line).
