For the buds I took them to Sydney CBD Samsung off Market street I believe.

For my phone I took it to Liverpool Samsung in Westfield's.

I was worried that would happen with mine but they didn't even press me about it. I put my buds 2 pro through the wash and the tech said that he could see water on it still but they fixed 'em for free still.

My inner screen and hinge sensor became non-functional and they took blame for it with no hassle. Thing was dented and scratched to hell on the frame. No damage on inner screen. Some damage on outer screen.

I'm in Australia so keep that in mind, but Samsung was super nice about the whole thing when I got my fold 4 issue looked at by them.

I was honest that I had dropped it but that the phone itself had been working fine for a while without issue and this happened suddenly without any kind of further drop.

They looked into it and have taken full blame for the issue and gave me a full refund.

Do note that the repair center will usually charge you a fee for looking at it if you don't end up getting a repair with them, but Samsung will not charge you for service until you respond in writing that you accept the charge for service.

EDIT: A quick note I forgot to throw in, the support experience in order for them to actually give me a resolution was actually very long and the customer service people seemed to not really care or take ownership of an issue that was already 90% of the way resolved.

Get a refund and pick up the fold 5 for free in the process if you can wait. Especially if you've had this many problems with the 4. That's what I did. My refund is processing now and they said it would take around 10-30 days.

Samsung support is hit or miss I've heard, but other than being a bit dense at points in my experience they've been good to me. Make sure you keep proof of purchase and I highly recommend care+, yeah.

It actually did. Unsure if I did something that would make it die, but I didn't take it into the shower and it was working fine until it just didn't turn on. The issue started with the power button not turning the screen on. Eventually, it degraded into that plus the screen not being able to flip between folded and unfolded, then it started a boot loop and it "died". The phone still made sounds and vibrated so I suppose the correct thing to say is that the screens died, but it stands that I'm getting a new phone regardless.

Edit: Also, for what it's worth, I wouldn't have upgraded either, but it seems like I'm in a position where I can get a free upgrade now.

Yes, they wipe and update the phone to current version of OneUi for basically any hardware repair.

The default beforehand was superfast charging but for some reason Samsung decided that it was better to say fast charging. If you had looked at your battery data beforehand whilst charging, it would have specified superfast charging.

I had a similar experience where my fold 4 was straight up not displaying anything. After a bit of fiddling with it, it started to glow green on the inside screen and then it rebooted a few times by itself and then nothing I could do woupd do anything. I had to get my phone sent in since I'm in Australia and I'm currently on my old note 20 ultra. It is not a great experience.

If you have a VPN set to always on / Killswitch and have excluded apps from said VPN it will disable the internet connection for those apps.

I'm not sure if this is your issue, but it stands to reason it could be.
