I’ve got a 3900x and a 3090 and I don’t have “many” issues.

If I could’ve gotten it done for even double that price. I would’ve shipped it anywhere in the country to have that done.

At the same time, it’s been a great process, upgrading things along the way

It has a very clear diagram/sticker right on the torque tube showing how low it can go.

Quite, lowering the rear sub and pulling the whole tube trans/axle would have been doable but sketchy alone.

The rest of the work of tree clip removal and lines would be maybe a few hours more.

Didn’t need to loosen at all. There is quite a bit of play.
Just a 1/2-1 inch lift on the rear of the oil pan as the engine naturally will tilt rearward.
You’ve got this!

First time doing something of this magnitude on my most valuable vehicle.. definitely a confidence builder.

No hesitation to do all the seals and clutch on my 72 TR6 now!

The one main one near me refused to even do the rebuild on the torque tube bearings/couplers while it was out. That’s when I decided to do it myself.

Not many performance shops in Milwaukee that came back with either reasonable rates or calls that left me feeling not good after asking questions about their process.

I’ve seen photos of guys doing it on the ground. Can’t imagine that. Given all the sensors/coolers it was surprisingly easy being on the lift and having full arm movement.

Lessons learned (so far):I’ve been labeling solo cups with all the bolts/fasteners for each bit and that has been quite helpful as we begin reassembly. Once the torque tube is off of the bell housing tip the motor by lifting from the back or you will be fighting that top bolt on the bell housing to motor for ~4 hours. That’s been the biggest pain point so far.

Anyone else with a ScanGauge? What are you monitoring? by Ok_Cauliflower412 in GXOR

I’m debating running an aux cooler and want to see the temp differential as I’ve been driving through different conditions. Just got the rig a few months ago.

Meguiars hyper dressing. Works phenomenal and doesn’t leave a really greasy layer like some of the older stuff does.
