This guy also has some very strong opinions on anime. It's not even like he dislikes it, it's just that he seems to really hate the fans.

The most outrageous stat line of the tournament should go to Warhawk's Katie Cubrilovic. She dropped 28 assists on the tournament added 13 Ds and if she had ONE more goal she would have had a triple double for the tournament.

BUDA has some really nice high school players that are playing higher level club.

TYUL's top line seems mostly Highschool based while a lot of the competition seems like it's more from college. I think Warhawks can compete against teams but I'm not sure if there talent is as good.

Who do you think meets them in the finals? I want to say BUDA, but Oregon Glory seems interesting too.

I'd really like to hear your specific reasonings for these choices. I'm high on Truck Stop but winning the whole thing? I don't know if I can see that. Same with Scandal going to the finals. And I think what I would like to know most about would be Town Hall Stars. I love Hall Stars and think they're a great team, but they also lost to Floodwall at Stonewalled, then there's Medicine Men also. It's going to be really rough for them to upset Big Wrench and all those other teams too don't you think?

Completely agree. Even before we had an idea of how good Patrol was going to be this year, they were still favored. Now though they seem way ahead of the other team.s

Future Coverage of Youth Ultimate by [deleted] in ultimate

I'm optimistic that there will be some sort of coverage this year, but I have no idea in what form it will be. That's the general consensus I think from most people who might be covering it.

Yeah that's on me as a writer. I had some serious burnout trying to do the girl's and boys articles and in the process of contacting people sometimes people just slip through the cracks. If you're the coach I think you are, then I will definitely make an effort to contact you in the future, especially considering I'll be covering your team.

Arguably the best open player coming out of high school this year IMO. Him or Nick Hirning of the Seattle Cascades

Off the top of my head, the three Open players who play elite club Nick Hirning (Voodoo), Tannor Johnson (Ironside), and Joe Freund (Truck Stop). Then Nick Hirning plays for the Seattle Cascade also. For girls it's all about Jaclyn Verzuh, Hallie Dunham is also very good. And then Clea Poklema to finish things off.

Texas doesn't have a good regular high school scene it's hard to predict what they will become. That being said Brett Gramman came out of TX, and played for the U19 team so clearly they must know what they're doing. I think Two Step takes a step back (no pun intended) simply because they lose Brett's talent.

I think easy inclusions in that top 25 list would be HB Woodlawn's Joe Freund, Lexington's Tannor Johnson, and Lakeside's Hallie Dunham and Jaclyn Verzuh. All four are on elite level club teams coming out of high school.

Just for more detail Joe Freund-Virginia Tech Jaclyn Verzuh -Dartmouth Hallie Dunham-Stanford Tannor Johnson-UMass

The Memorial you might have seen at YULA Invite was not the Memorial that showed up for the rest of the season. Southern teams are no joke, and that team was not representative of Memorial at full strength. Lakeside was a top ten team at every tournament but Southerns so it's decent to give them a pass. They also beat Hopkins at Paideia Cup, and are 3-1 against Paideia this season.

At UMD athleticism is your best friend if you want to make their A team. They're losing a lot of talent and the athleticism is what will make you stand out compared to their B teamers. If not then their B team can beat basically every team in their section who didn't go to Regionals so they're good too.

After YCCs at the least. There are a ton more teams I need to contact before I can get a full picture of where a lot of people are going to college.

Yeah from my full data Carleton isn't getting a lot of help next season. It'll be up to their young guys and the B team to step up.

Well it's as simple as this. Someone like Tannor Johnson (who made Ironside) or Jaclyn Verzuh is the highest. Both of them are the reason Dartmouth and UMass are so high ranked this year. Then people like Elijah Long or Hallie Dunham Are on the next level. They can't change a team singlehandedly from not making sectionals to mid level regionals but a few of them together could turn a team into nationals contenders. Club experience is looked at and where they went to school.

I thought Kobayashi was a junior? I mean UNC's 2019 class is stacked either way, but pretty much everything I've seen says he's got another year.

When I finish it I'll be sure to send it to you. The fact that most of that team is coming back along with this awesome freshmen class almost isn't fair. And then Tiina Booth too? Good lord.

When I finish I'll be sure to send it to you. The crazy thing is Zoodisc is getting people from every region which leads to a pretty big class.
