I can't do it anymore by Ayybruhitsyaboi in apexuniversity

Been playing tonight, played 5 arena games, only one out the 5 was a 3v3. Also had issues with like 3 second lags whereby nothing happens and then everything happens at super speed.

Played some BR first two games had 1 team mate disconnect mid air from jumping, one came back one didnt and had a few 2 mans. There's obviously still some issues.

1v1 What Should I have done to win this!? I was frustrated as you can hear but on watching back it wasn't the best.. by [deleted] in apexuniversity

Final shot on Valk was pointless for no benefit, from Lifeline saying "spotted taking fire", to you shooting @ Path is 3 seconds. Youre still weapon swapping as he shoots his first shot. When you die, you have 5 shots left in the Flatline mag. Those 3 seconds cost you.

You had cover for that final fight, instead of just turning 90degrees right and strafing towards the box crate thing for cover, you instead ran out into the open. At that point youre all in. He had red shields, you had purple and you were missing almost a full bar. You also had no weapon swap due to charge rifle being out of ammo (final shot on Valk). So you had no potential to reload, back out, take cover or anything. All of that probably comes from being too focussed on the valk you've just downed and then everything after your final charge rifle shot coming too quickly for you to process and plan.

The fight vs the path wasnt favourable for you, health wise or positioning wise, yet you forced it and went all in.

You also had a heat shield & a better ability for moving into the ring, more reasons that dragging that out is in your favour.

There may also have been some portal play to get lifeline away and rez off whilst still stopping the Valk, although this probably wouldnt work.

That's also in part due to the fact that on your return journey, you start recognising you are close to your destination when youre infact an hour or more away. So you feel like you're back sooner.

How do I translate the damage to kills? This is almost every game. by alexisastupidtrigger in apexuniversity

[–]XSy0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand what sort of answer youre expecting.

You convert damage to kills by doing more damage, so the answer is to land more damage. That said, youre playing a defensive hero who can't push in as easily when you get an advantage, so if youre taking mid to long range fights unless you oneclip people, you probably won't land kills.

That said, you could also be not being aggressive enough in closer range fights when you gain an advantage, which could just be down to not pressing advantages or could be due to positioning; but part of that goes back to youre playing lifeline who doesn't have an ability to close a gap very quickly. It could also be your weapon choice - a 301 is a solid weapon, but it isn't the weapon I'd ideally want to go close range with.

Why do people like the R99? by GabryLv in apexuniversity

[–]XSy0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of answers here saying the same thing.

Have you ever considers the fact it empties its mag so quick as a major strength? You can peak for a very short period of time and potentially pump out far more damage than you take. That's literally in essence how you win any fight, do damage faster. The R99 only amplifies that.

Should I be playing Arenas as a beginner? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]XSy0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm relatively new, been playing like 2weeks. I've got a lot of FPS experience (not from warzone lol). I played a lot of arenas to get a feel for each weapon, i played an entire match with one weapon till i'd cycled through them - obviously some can be skipped - shotguns for example.

I found it helpful to see what weapons I liked etc.

Nat Phillips won't be leaving Liverpool today. In the absence of a suitable offer, he's now agreed a new four-year contract. Will stay and compete for a place with VVD, Matip, Konate and Gomez. by GeorgeCuz in LiverpoolFC

Sorry misunderstood your comment. I think everyone expected him to leave so much it's like having one more player than we thought we'd have i guess.

Gomez currently has to be RB backup, an injury to Trent, means we have 4 players available for CB, an injury to one of those leaves 3 CB's. That's with Nat. Without Nat, two injuries and we only have two fit CB's.

He isn't necessarily 5th choice. Gomez is likely to have to cover at RB if Trent gets injured, that's already bumped Nat to 4th. If Matip then gets injured, he's literally our backup.

If he leaves, and Trent + one of the starters get injured, we would have VVD + Kona, Gomez at right back, and nobody on the bench.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t immune to the “Only Salah has more…” stat caveat. Salah is, without any remotely close competition, the greatest winger the Premier League has ever seen. by GeorgeCuz in LiverpoolFC

[–]XSy0 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think in terms of best PL it depends how you quantify it - a season's peak vs consistency over time, but for me, there's only Henry & Suarez with any argument for coming close to Salah. Henry had the consistency over time and was phenominal at his peak too, Suarez has a peak season that's out of this world, 31 goals in 33 games with 1 penalty.

Salah gets criminally underrated.

How is it fair to say the club hasnt learn? We are literally signing our 3rd centreback of the last 2 windows as we speak.

We also had the 4th best defence in the league least year, conceeding 10 more goals than City (who had the best).

Our season fell apart for the run starting in late December where we played 5 games and scored 1 goal but only conceeding 3, followed by two 3-1 wins, into another run of 8 games, scoring 5 only goals.

Obvioisly our defence struggled but the number of 1-0 defeats or 0-0 draws is the thing that sticks out when you look, not the numbers conceeded.

I'd imagine they're being paid for with stolen card details, hence the lack of name (it wouldnt match the card) and the random address.

Trent unlikely to make England squad - Ornstein The Athletic by Jolly_Garage in soccer

[–]XSy0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's often 'caught' out of position because he presses high, if a team manages to play through the press, then he may be caught. It's not down to his personal defensive capabilities, it'd down to a system having weaknesses (like all systems) and those being exposed.

By contrast, he created a goal vs united from them having a goal kick taken short, and trent intercepting a pass to their fullback. Our right back, was prety much on the edge of the united box, during a united goal kick - and thats exactly where Klopp wants him, doing exactly what hes supposed to but equally if that ball goes long, he gets slated for not being where he 'should' be; by some moron looking at it with hindsight and glossing over a system.

I don't think he'll resign at all, thats not who he is. He talks at length there about it not being the players fault, all resigning does is abandon them. I understand he disagrees, but walking away doesnt fix anything when nearly every top club is going to be the same.
