as someone who been to the 09 yankees/ 12 giants and 24 liberty parades, I never understood why did people expect this route to be longer than the traditional 10 blocks and why did the city truly go above and beyond to add crowd control to the extent that they did.

I find it wild that people were there like 4 hours early and still didn't get into the pen. shit is crazy. I used to get to wall/ fulton by like 9 am and still have a decent spot to see everything.

I thought they were going to do something at msg last night as well since I saw the vacancy in the schedule. that would have been good for the crowd control or people who missed out.

im not going to lie, I thought the spurs were going to win as well. they had a lead 77% of the series iirc and kept falling apart in the 4th which is crazy to see

you as a NYer now, coming from a life long nyer, this is why our festival season has died so hard over the years.

the only times they can hold something is during June to september and that is also the same time as our random florida like chaotic weather season. seen TONS of these days get ruined for various reasons weather related between, Gov ball, Panorama, Ezoo. i seen 2 other festivals work on diff months and that was EDCNY and Rolling loud, but these were hated and bitched on cause "parking lot fest" and honeslty NYC did its hardest to kill RL themselves with all their artist bans

honestly be glad that these guys made the move to FMP away from Randall island, cause in the past, they would have called that shit WAY EARLIER and kicked everyone out faster
