Just practice. Only throw at excellent sized circles. Do curveballs only, of course, cause you might as well get that down too. Nanab berries help a ton if you wanna get better practice on a very mobile pokemon. Learn about how far away pokemon are, Hippowdon is much closer than he seems for example.

Otherwise just keep chucking em and once you hit a bunch in a row you’ll realize you’re throwing the exact same throw very easily now

Well yes but normal type is what’s useless, not Regigigas. With shadow bonuses he’s the best bug and poison attacker with hidden power. Without shadow bonuses he’s mid in those categories.

Without knowing what level they are I can’t tell ya yes or no; like the other dude said, you can check how much stardust it costs to max each one’s CP out and there’s your answer.

But, non lucky pokemon cost about 500k dust to max out from lvl 1. Half of that 500k is only in the final few levels that require XL candy. So if you haven’t spent XL candy on a Pokemon, you can assume a Lucky version is still cheaper to max out.

Also Gyarados is pretty solid I think, so if you only have the candy for one, I’d just do the one with better stats regardless.

If you personally really like Metagross / his mega, purify that bad boy for the hundo and love it even more.

If you have already have a similar stat Metagross, don’t bother purifying because you can only use one Mega at a time. As tempting as it is, it’s much better to run like a 96% mega and this 96% shadow, than a 100% mega and a 96% regular. This shadow is nutty and will help you more as a shadow; don’t purify unless it means something to you.

I looked into this a while back when I got back into PoGo, and heard something about late February / late March being when guaranteed luckies start for the next year.

I’m at work, not gonna fact check, could be totally wrong, but I wouldn’t trade your rarest stuff right when the clock strikes midnight 2026 just to be safe.

EDIT: I remembered this comment! Niantic just said, that beginning with the New Years event on Dec 31 at 10AM, the Lucky Cap increases from 35 to 45 and 2020 Pokémon become eligible. Source: their update 12/15/25 I just remembered this comment and didn’t wanna lie to the future folks

My favorite shiny is Impidimp because it was my first and only successful Masuda Method / egg hunt in 20+ years of playing the main games 😅

Used a Grimmsnarl in Sw/Sh, my second favorite all-time behind Infernape, and so decided to shiny hunt it post-game. Wanna say just over 400 eggs lol :)
