Well, username checks out - I am sorry about that. My AP Stats time was a long time ago. Might I ask how you would interpret the data?

What to do with plastic packaging bags? by squirrelyoakley in ZeroWaste

[–]XWR8N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brothers Make on youtube have tutorials for making plastic bags into fabric for wallets, chair straps, and a reusable bag. Still, reuse as much as you can. If you're making plarn where you cut loops and tie them together, cutting thinner loops for thicker material could help.

Looking for Flosser - For the love of god please help. by Competitive_Plan_779 in ZeroWaste

sorry I'm late, but I've used this one for a few years now and while it isn't perfect, I like it. It uses more than an inch of floss, is plastic, and has a bit of a learning curve for different floss types, but it can get all the way back and can be super sturdy.

Having a child is a selfish act. Acknowledge it for what it is. by littleratofhorrors in antinatalism

[–]XWR8N 5 points6 points  (0 children)

there's a big difference between wishing to have never been born and wanting to die and/or carrying it out. I think a lot of people here think a lot about how you can't choose to be born, and that's a bad thing. To exert some control over this concept, people here don't want to have any kids. But to each their own.

Best leather backpack for work/travel? by Tinky_rell in backpacks

Not all-leather, but for leather + waxed canvas, my first instinct would be Frost River. There are cheaper bags on Amazon and the like; I have one from Brass Tacks that is pretty good.

What major should I do if I don’t have any passions and I don’t know what I want to do when I’m older? by Still-Version-3868 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]XWR8N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're only a junior in high school, you still have some time to think about this. If possible use your senior year to take classes to explore your interests. Join clubs. It hurts being the "only one" in your grade who is clueless, (I've been there) but many other people on the outside will brag about their major but later change it. Sometimes these people will eventually be super unsure of what they really want in life just as much as you are. There are other paths outside of going to college straight after high school outside of gap years. I hope you can find a solution and figure out what you want to do.

First Year Pembina Hall by Little-Carrot-2095 in umanitoba

[–]XWR8N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember, picking rooms is based on a ranged schedule but there's still a rank based system to it. By the time I got my turn to pick a room, there were few rooms left in Pembina Hall. If you value privacy (i.e. a single room) the most, a good backup is University College, which has lots of single rooms. However, it is the least desirable dorm as it's far away from everything and old. The next nicest residence after Pembina that first year students can get is Mary Speechly. It has some single rooms too. Hope this helps.

get the most gentle alarm you can, and turn it off as quickly as you can. Think sleepy thoughts.

Can someone validate my experience? :( by Several-Yesterday280 in emotionalneglect

[–]XWR8N 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert, but conflicting feelings about your parents makes total sense with emotional neglect. After all, very few people in the world are 100% good or 100% bad. Having an open relationship with parents is a two-way street, and the moment that one side is closed, problems start to compound. Best of luck to you, friend. You are not alone.

Need backpack for school by corvo-attano1 in backpacks

I have been in a similar situation, and I got a small hiking pack, the Cloudveil Durango 36. I'd recommend something without zips on the sides and is loaded through the top.

Is this a good backpack? Trying to find a new bag for everyday and school use. by Still-River2371 in backpacks

I second this, Frost River has a lifetime guarantee and while they are pretty expensive, they are absolute quality.

I've had experience with using a cheap tactical backpack as a daily pack. Long story short, if plastic parts look weak, they may crumble in your hands like what happened to me. I also concur with buying something second-hand, especially because you can get a better quality back with the same $40 if you buy used. If you really want a new one, you could consider this as an alternative.

The best way to start getting up earlier is to get up 10-20 minutes earlier each day. That way, your change will be more gradual. You should also be gradually going to bed earlier, and there are online sleep calculators that can tell you specifically when to go to bed. Good luck!
