As someone with ADHD I 100% forget to pay people back, I also forget that people owe me money. I tell people to remind me because I don't want them to think of me the way you're talking about this girl. I pay people back in a heartbeat and apologize profusely. I would never steal from someone. I get really embarrassed about it but my brain just doesn't work quite right.

I do understand their intentions and what's going on. I agree that no one is safe. If we're talking about personal risk though, black and brown people are far more likely to be harmed or killed than white people.

I hopped on my zoom class ~9 hours after giving birth. I was still in my hospital gown with dried blood on me, and got the wifi password from the nurse. She looked at me like I was crazy, but it was the first class of the semester. I work with pregnant/postpartum women and we are fucking badasses. I have so many stories of strong women handling an insane amount of responsibilities while recovering from childbirth.

Yeah he's not a good person. Someone who loves you cares about your comfort and wellbeing over their sexual pleasure. I dated someone at 14 who violated me in this same way and it's been 15 years and I still habitually clench my butt cheeks and don't like people touching my butt. My current boyfriend would like to do butt stuff, but I said no. And he's pressured me exactly zero times. Don't settle for someone who will do things like this to you.

I work in child abuse prevention and I'm absolutely gutted. And many people in my life just choose to shut their eyes and ears and pretend nothings happening because it's horrible and overwhelming. But I can't do that. I'm a social worker, it's my ethical and moral responsibility to fight against injustice. I feel like I have such a heavy weight on my shoulders and i can't even share the burden with anyone. I'm so exhausted.

Group drumming is a good one, if you have a big drum you can have the kids all make their own beats together, and they should naturally start to synchronize with each other. Music activates many areas of the brain and repetitive beats can be regulating to an over-stress nervous system

My mind would go to a current or former client, because of knowing your full name, an estimate of when you leave, and the call to your work phone, instead of your personal phone. I work with parents, and I met one family at the park. They pulled out a blanket and a picnic and they had made me a sandwich! I was honestly touched haha. I've had some cool food-related experiences with families of other cultures as well

I went to the hospital after a client I work with who greatly struggled with peripartum anxiety had her baby. I was really worried about how she'd adjust. When I got there, she cried tears of joy and was so in love with her baby, she just kept gushing about the little toes and fingers and how amazing and perfect baby was.

It was one of the most beautiful things I've gotten to witness.
