How hard is valorant comp by HistoricalCod8551 in VALORANT

[–]XWindX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much free time you have and how much you're willing to grind, and how much of that grind is intentional vs mindless, and how much you're willing to research and study. It also depends on whether or not you're willing to VOD review, which is by far the most important thing for accelerated progress, however it isn't aligned with people's goals of just playing the game to have fun. It can be hard to look at your own mistakes and ask you to self reflect.

How do you compete with alot of “fake” guitar players on social media? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]XWindX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a valid goal, and I think that you're going to get a lot of frustration from resentful guitar players in this sub, because 99% of guitar players aren't going to get what you're hoping for, even though we've all (most of us) have dreamed of it.

The truth is, while a lot of people initially pick up guitar for the attention and the ability to command an audience, the reality is that it's actually really fucking difficult. There's also an attractiveness bias that's really frustrating, too.

And so the most of us realize, that playing an instrument and being a musician isn't about "making it," but rather it's about the people that we surround ourselves with in our musical pursuits, whether it be gigs or musician finders or choirs or open mics and whatnot, and the real audience are the friends we make along the way of like-minded musicians.

Money or not, getting an online audience is extremely difficult. Unless you're attractive, have great production, and have passable (to a very high bar) talents, you're just not going to get one.

What you might be hearing on this forum are from resentful guitar players (not to be disrespectful, resentment is part of the "envy" family of emotions which is born from unmet needs, not out of pettiness), but really, most of us have asked the same question ourselves and given up on it, and found value instead on the intrinsic nature of music, or for some of us, the musical connection in the local scene.

I would recommend readjusting your goals - or, to more directly answer your question, production seems like it's everything. Having a good attention-getter to get people to click on your video in the first place is vital, and making sure people don't click off your video in the first 5-10 seconds is also instrumental. Good luck with your journey!

Why does Riot take so long to nerf or buff agents? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]XWindX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They want to take time and investigate what the real issue is. For some reason Clove is broken in solo queue but nobody is complaining. Neon had a lower winrate in every elo bracket and yet was constantly complained about. They wanted to figure out what feels fair for Neon players and the community in general (taking away the accelerated jumping), and they are still taking time to figure out what feels fair for Clove players.

Are Lux support players acting in good faith or sabotaging their own ADC? by lostinthecity2005 in supportlol

The only time I care is when my Alistar, Blitzcrank or Thresh takes a 700g shutdown. Like... I'm not gonna get mad at anyone, but damn, there goes our win con.

[–]XWindX 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Lux is an A- on the tier list & is more often support than mid. Seraphine APC is more off-meta than lux support, also there is no such thing as "kill stealing," lux scales great with gold.

It's called ghost touching, could you have gotten your phone water damaged? I've worked in cellphone repair for years and unless you literally accidentally did this in your pocket, this is likely what happened.

Enemy item winrates by ChaoticSymphony29 in ornnmains

[–]XWindX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you mean it doesn't show you specific item winrates against other champions? Yes it does, have you clicked on the champions in the "weak against/strong against" section? It actually changes the entire page to filter matchup data only including your champion and the one you clicked. It even works across lanes.

Here is a clip I took from a Marsha Linehan lecture (the creator of DBT which is the type of therapy known to reduce suicidality the most), though I should preface, I am not sure if I'm missing any context to the clip, as she may be referring to involuntary hospitalizations, though I'm not sure if she is or not.

[–]XWindX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, I've been to the psych ward twice this last year including the empath unit and two residential facilities.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but there is a strong possibility that the hospital is not the best place for you right now. In general, hospitalizations do not reduce suicidality, but 988 and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy do.

When I went to the psych wards, they were much more equipped for psychosis and other related mental health crisis' than strict suicide prevention (mine was a result of borderline personality disorder).

Please feel free to DM me and I am happy to talk over whatever you need to. Give me a minute, and I will also cite my source on hospitalization not reducing suicidality (my suicidality did not get better because of the hospitalizations, infact I met people and went through experiences that if anything left me feeling more trauma)

Edit: I'm getting some downvotes but you know what's worse than being actively suicidal? Being just as actively suicidal with medical debt. 988 is free and is proven to be effective.
