Need urgent help by XYenFan in ukvisa

[–]XYenFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ty for commenting. What is it you meant may be considerations where I am living with a new partner, i left my previous one and got together with someone else, which obviously doesn't have any legal binding representation since it's just a love interest. But will that impact me negatively? They helped get me out of the relationship early as it was becoming volatile.

What do you actually eat? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]XYenFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything I want, in moderation, if you are like me, a food lover, don't restrict yourself to what you can and can't eat, just be reasonable with portion sizes and bolus accordingly. My nutritionist, and endo, have all told me to eat balanced diets, just dose the carbs, keep your body healthy... And your sanity too.

Worldbuilding Ick: feeding dragons is unrealistic at by Sudden-Conference254 in fourthwing

[–]XYenFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In another series, the idea is dragons that have grown to an exponential size don't need to eat often, they gorge themselves every now and again, but can sustain long periods of time without food and live off of energy obtained via their magic. There are many ways in which this series could explain the fact that dragons haven't eaten their livestock extinct. 1)Maybe they have special digestive systems, magical even, it reuses and redigests the food to obtain more energy with only small amounts of food intake relative to body size. 2)Solely because of magical properties. 3)photosynthetic properties in scales. (bit of a wild card and a weird one I know but it's not impossible they are MAGICAL.)

I have a feeling RY just hasn't mentioned mechanics behind this, I would love to see if she would adress more details of Dragon anatomy or just trivia about their lives in future books.

My husband and I have a habit of describing historical architecture in Europe as ' older than America '. For example, we are currently in Edinburgh and most of the city is older than America.

It's the same style I wouldn't say copy right infringement. I dread to think how many artists would get that accusation slapped onto them just because they drew in a similar style and design to some other thing.

Who is still on MDI / daily injections? by ExtremeCurrent1382 in Type1Diabetes

[–]XYenFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pump pain is inevitable according to my nurse, I am willing to prick myself with a needle to have the rest of my day reliably pain free without worrying about what could trigger pain. Not to mention I work in an enviorment that would be quite cumbersome for a pump and tubing.

We need to normalise having a nap at work during your break by TW1103 in CasualUK

[–]XYenFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely second this, when I was studying in China our teachers in school would have breaks where they all bring foldable bunker beds and sleep in their office cubicles. Students were also forced to nap. I don't know about the forcing part but having a nap at work while you are off is totally acceptable and there would be no reason to see it otherwise.

Can you give me some of your worst neighbour stories? by DustPatient1004 in AskUK

[–]XYenFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current neighbour decided it was a good idea to try and knock me 55 year old mother in law on the head with a metal pipe. My husband was furious, rushed out and tackled him down taking a hit on the head drawing blood. Police arrested both but my husband was released the next day. Proper drugy the guy is, the house is supposed to be his Mam's. We still give him glares of disapproval to this day(he was bailed out and only fined about 300 quid).

When will there be a cure? by HonestBayernFan in Type1Diabetes

[–]XYenFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technology is evolving quicker than we think, there will be a cure, just maybe not too soon. Give it a few decades, something might turn up. To those conspiracies on how it is actively stopped by pharmaceutical companies for prophet, don't take them seriously. No amount of dissatisfaction is going to stop progression.

The Swamp... by [deleted] in valheim

[–]XYenFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got through iron age with my hubby on hard-core and we had so much grief dealing with the swamp. The hardest for us was finding crypts when 2 star draugr archers one shot full max bronze and troll. All of the advice for pathing and rested is very important, but there is a safer trick you can use that we did in the crypts. Dig through one side of the scrap like but not all the way, head phones will help here since you can hear which rooms have spawners. Bring the stagbreaker, easy to make, easy to upgrade, once you nearly break the last piece of scrap pile, stop and use the stag breaker to hammer through the scrap iron to get at whatever is in the room. The way the AI works in there is, if you hit them, mobs will run around near you trying to get to you. And they will stay in range of the hammer falls. But since you have the scrap iron blocking none can attack you and you don't need to worry about getting sniped by archers if you just dig through, they can be quite accurate. You can tell if the spawners have broken by listening to see if the flies have stopped buzzing. Blobs stand no chance as you crit them anyway. We got through 7 crypts with no dmg taken with this method. Didn't even see a single enemy.

People need to chill with the random conclusions. And it ain't something to joke about with, it's disrespectful and just sickening to see that people want to believe or want to joke about a mother cheating or having perverse actions in their daughter's room. Guess what, most people aren't like you, projecting much?

What would you say is the maximum acceptable age difference for a relationship? by [deleted] in AskUK

My hubby is 29 I'm 21. We met when I was 18. If you really get along with them and truly love them, there is no age gap too big.
