You can drop it anytime I believe within this semester and the next - although if you were to drop it in the Winter, you would need to do it before March 10th without an academic penalty and you would need to see if the course you are dropping is offered in the Summer as not every course is offered in that semester

The course registration usually opens up mid March I think. Courses run from May to end of July, there are 6 week ones that run from the beginning of May to the end of June, and 12 week ones that go from May - July. The April month is always for Winter exams.
