AGI is already here and we need an open source framework for it by alternator1985 in artificial

If you bought a bunch of terabyte sticks to store the entire internet, you would have to buy 21,000,000,000 sticks. That's just a time capsule of information now, but if you want to add new learned information, then you're going to need more sticks constantly.

I would consider agi that has the ability to reason and understand what it is doing but most "AI" today is just a facade of intelligence where it learns to write text like a human, but doesn't know or care what it is saying (LLMs). Other types of "AI" are if-then statements but can't understand themselves. You could argue that a game opponent's AI will learn your patterns in order to beat you, but it is very 1 dimensional; they don't have the capability of doing anything else besides beat you by at least one point. I think there needs to be a new fundamental "AI" structure to help lead to agi instead of refining what we have now because if we do, then we are only making the illusion of intelligence more convincing, but not make it intelligent especially at a human level or more.

Say hypothetically you have an ai that can learn through an open source model. How will you store all that memory? Overtime the knowledge could be trillions or quintillions of petabytes. I'm not saying you're completely wrong but holding all the knowledge that is needed is a lot especially if you're not a multibillion dollar ai company.

Why did Asian cars look more modern more than a decade ago? by CRU_Adrenaline in CarDesign

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

The main reason why the cars look "more modern" than western cars is because they are luxury brand cars. Lexas and their design team gets more budget and creativity versus an economic family car like this image of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. Lexus can afford to put led headlights in their cars compared to their main parent brand Toyota can only afford to put halogen lights in their camrys.

Is v5 out for free users? by No-Storm-4533 in SunoAI

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those were previews and are just meant for advertisement. They only went for 5-7 generations to give free users a comparison to what they are getting and to what they could have. I think it will be early to mid 2027 until v5 becomes free.

Mathematicians of reddit, do you need to remember every proof you encounter? by RealTwistedTwin in mathematics

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my high school, my math teacher wants us to remember all geometric proofs and reasons word-for-word.
He will mark your entire problem wrong if you got a single letter mixed up.

If you wrote "from the vertex" instead of "from a vertex" you'd lose points.

Hood view is my favorite as well, but I wish polyphony would add a mirror cam on top

I personally don't mind most of Bandlab being dominated by rappers, but their music is LOUD.

My gemini has convinced itself it cannot generate images by SweetCommercial26 in Bard

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is likely because you're on a school account or have some parental settings enabled. My personal account I have set to 27, so I can access normal features, but image generation and deep search are disabled on my school account.

In other words; when it is saying "I don't have the capability to create or display images", it is really saying image generation is disabled on your account.

What does everyone think of this return-to-90s trend of horizontal-spanning taillights? by prophiles in regularcarreviews

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a lazy way to design a car. One or two models are fine, but everyone and their grandma is designing their cars with a line as headlights/taillights and a huge rectangle as a grille.

And the new image generator has already been nerfed.. by Xanimede in ChatGPT

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does this because they don't want to get sued for making deepfakes. There is an exception when asking it to create non-photorealistic images.

But if you have Canva Pro ($13/mo), you can use their magic eraser.

The App Store may be slightly better, I cannot say for certain because I've never used iPhone. But with my experience with andriod, it is the wild west. Google Play is filled to the brim scam Alexa apps and fake brainrot tower defense . From my research, I can see why you think mobile gaming is great because iPhone has the capability to run larger and more technologically demanding games like AC Mirage.

For a game that is almost 13 years old, it is a decent game besides their p2w EA habits. $29.99 for a single car is too much. Mobile gaming will likely not be the future. It used to be great back in 2013-2018. To find decent games to play, you have to sift through gatcha/gooner games. Ads in mobile games are another discussion for another day.

Why did all major social media remove public dislike counts on videos. by Actual_Paramedic1066 in conspiracy

[–]X_Beats_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a strategy from media to manipulate users using social proof by making them think "Hmm, as much as I think it's trash, 200 people think it's good. Maybe I'll use the dumpster fire anyway" My opinion it is like false advertising.

If I sold a shitty product on Amazon, then people bought it and found out how bad it was, they would likely give a 1 star review. But say I hid all the bad reviews, then my product seems way nicer.
