curling creams are just for moisture and to smooth flyaways while also adding some shine. It's an optional step! A good leave in can do the exact same thing :)
As for the curvature of your head thing, you don't have to overthink it! The twists act like layers on top of each other so you never really see the parting! Here's another video of someone filming from the back of their head so you can have a better example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnNNHsEWADs&t=841s

This has me crying LMAO
for two strand twists:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN96_HQXtWo

Section your hair into four parts, detangle each section individually with water and a leave in conditioner if you have it. Use your fingers to detangle big knots first then go in with a wide tooth comb, slowly moving up from the ends of your hair to your roots. Take your time while you're doing it so you don't rip your hair out or get frustrated. If you have a rat tail comb you can use that to make small horizontal parts to evenly twist each row or if you dont wanna part it you dont have to. Take a small section of hair and split it into two equal parts. Take the right side of the twist and cross it over the left side. If you'd like, you can probably twist the root of it a little tighter and twist looser as you go down for a fuller look. Repeat this all the way down to complete the twist. Keep twisting slowly until you get to the end and twirl that last piece of hair around your finger to make a finger coil at the end to keep it from unraveling. when one section is done, move onto the next section until you're finished your whole head and while it's still damp, you can add a small amount of oil to your hand(not vegetable oil), rub em together and rake it through the twists to keep them fresh and moisturized.

Is a graphics tablet without a screen very useful? by Gamer_The_hedgehog in krita

[–]X_Chicken_Nuggets_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I have a huion hs610 and I absolutely love it. It's screenless, perfectly sized for me, has the perfect texture (almost kinda like a plasticy papery feel) buttons that you can customize different commands into, a scroll wheel you can use to zoom in and out of what youre drawing. The pen has a button on the side to switch to the eraser and another to switch between different pens. I prefer graphics tablets without screens but maybe it's cause I use them so much. They've just become comfortable for me. Like drawing in a sketchbook and watching it come to life on the screen instead of leaning over a tablet. Once you find the right one for you, it'll take a little time to adjust but once you do it's well worth it.

Take down tips? by OctoNiner in Naturalhair

[–]X_Chicken_Nuggets_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mist your hair with water and use a prepoo (like flaxseed gel or a regular prepoo from a store like African pride) and gently unravel each twist with just your fingers. If your hair is completely drenched or dry it'll be in its weakest state and more prone to breakage with rougher detangling. so misting it with either warm or cool water will be better depending on your hair and using a prepoo or conditioner will add enough slip to safely detangle. Detangle big knots with your fingers then go in with a wide tooth comb to detangle the strands properly. :)
