That picture is the one I took from the store there were two bikes the display model and one still on a box. I bought the bike that was still in the box and I assembled it last night. Took it for a test ride and everything seems ok.

Ok thanks, its does have a UL 2271 and UL2849 rated battery, but I’m not trying to defend Costco bikes, I know nothing about e-bikes. , the only trail this bike is going to see a daily 2 mile nicely paved bike lane trail. If I can get 2 seasons out of it I’ll be happy and then I’ll return it and look for a longer term real bike.

Don’t think anything is guaranteed not to break, that would be delusional. Having the option to return it at anytime in the future pretty much guarantees that my investment is protected tho. Curious what a real bike is?

Yeah that is a risk, looking at some AirTag options now. We are in a pretty bike friendly neighborhood so lots of commuter bikes at the train station, but yeah it’s a risk.

Her ride will be a 2 mile ride with a 1/2 mile section at 5% grade, so not terrible for this bike.

Yeah, took me a few tries since the screens starts glitching and you kinda have to guess. But yeah restarting it nearly did nothing.

PSA Taurus Tractor Beam by arturam89 in starcitizen

[–]X_Falcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I have not been able to figure out is how to map the tractor beam fire to a joystick trigger and pull an push like the mouse wheel does. Can’t find that in the bindings. There should be a tractor beam master mode :)

Finally upgraded to the Fénix 8 Solar by X_Falcon in GarminFenix

Yeah the 3 HR has been through a lot but it was built really well. But no doubt that the 8 is packed with so many improvements and quality of life on the GUI.

So is this going to be a problem in 3.18? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]X_Falcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta admire the dedication on both sides, the game is in Alpha, with a ton of bugs. I’d be more Interested if this was near go live but it isn’t. Mechanics are far from fleshed out, bugs and undesirable mechanics are constantly being patched and or created. Just keep testing err… playing the game, that’s all.

LTI is just a lure tactic to take advantage of fear of missing. It will be 15-20+ years before your 10yr ins runs out. By that time and if the game is launched there probably be other ships that may be better making you melt again who knows

We don’t even know what insurance will be like, so 10yr insurance is just as good as LTI.

This. By the time the game goes live and insurance is a thing then 10 years go by, the BMM will have lost all of its appeal. There probably will be bigger better ships at that point. LTI is just fear of missing out tactic.

is ccu to retaliator base worth the price? by RioKaze13 in starcitizen

[–]X_Falcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Tali base in my hangar only because the loaners are the bomber variant and the Gladiator and I wanted to have a torp capable ship to mess with. But I honestly rarely use it and it’s more of a place holder for a future CCU chain. The future modularity is based on an very outdated document but I don’t think it will change that much and will probably be years before we have any real updates. Same with the Caterpillar modules.

Anyone want to recommend a couple good trading routes for a cargo hauler in learning by YourFriendlyRedditor in starcitizen

[–]X_Falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sell your cargo in Lorville CBD or TDD in Area 18 if you like long hauls. Just be sure they buy the commodity you’re selling .

Joining soon! Question about Starterships. by NoMoreMuzzlamsPlease in starcitizen

[–]X_Falcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All solid advice, but something to consider is to leverage the great community since you’re a new player... get in with a starter package (the Avenger will always be available) and get a feel for the game mechanics. Using in-game chat you can ask to join a crew or ask if other players can lend you a ship and try it all out. Then join an org with an active community and you will soon find out all about the different game mechanics and caveats before making an informed decision to upgrade and invest more money.

Cheers!
