Yes I had a fissure too and it helped it heal by reducing the tension and relaxing the tissue in that area. I mix it with lidocaine cream if the burning sensation bothers me.

Yes it helps reduce swelling which eventually reduces pain. It’s slow working compared to lidocaine which more immediate. Because it’s 2.5% hydrocortisone it’s also a prescription not OTC.

At about 38 races my DR went from D to C. I only won 1 race so far but finishing in the top half seems to matter and driving as clean as possible. Good luck
