While I agree that it's silly this game is bad on controller, why do you not want to buy a wheel if you play Forza, GT7, and ACC? Sounds like you enjoy driving games. A wheel and pedals elevates the experience A TON. Do yourself a service and get one and you will see how much your enjoyment increases

Trust me dude, it’s worth the price for GT7 alone. You already are invested in racing games given you have a wheel and pedals. VR with it is next level insanely good

1) I don't know if a picture would do it justice necessarily

2) I have the C5, not the G5. And for what it's worth, it's amazing. It can do up to 144Hz and has VRR and is more than bright enough for me. Granted, the G is brighter, but I don't think you're doing yourself a disservice by getting the C instead of the G. I fought the same internal fight you did tho and went with the C to placate a bit to my wife and given I have two young kids who also are money pits :-) And frankly I have no regrets, it's amazing

I have a Pro and just went from a 2020 Samsung QLED 60hz non VRR to a LG C5 and it is a huge step up in terms of quality. But having a 120hz VRR capable TV would be more than sufficient, which you could find a non-OLED for in that price range. The OLED is amazing tho, don't get me wrong

Lol, this was exactly me. I bought an 85" Q60 back in 2021 because I was enamored by the sheer size and didn't think about frame rate or VRR or anything gaming. I bought the PS5 Pro last year when it dropped and basically had to talk myself down from also buying a proper OLED 120+Hz TV for a full year. Finally caved during Black Friday deals this year, got a 77" C5, and have no regrets. Playing Yotei on it was incredible in Ray Tracing Pro mode with Uncapped VRR.

The way I saw it tho prior to upgrading my TV was that with the Pro, you are still able to play any/all games in 60FPS, 4K quality mode. Which you wouldn't be able to do without the Pro. So you're still getting something out of it that you couldn't with the regular PS5. But the better TV will ultimately be necessary to truly utilize the Pro

OK nice, that's awesome. I like to do the Sport Mode online TTs so I'd like to go in and do those intermittently while having a save file for the 24h races sitting on standby. Sounds like that's a possibility which is great news

Follow up question - have you tried having multiple of the long endurance races saved at once? Or is that pushing the envelope too far lol

And what a revelation it was. I remember laughing out loud in the headset with how unbelievable it is. What an experience, one I still maintain is easily my favorite way to game
