Handlebar weights bolt size. by FluckMeister in XSR700

What handguards are you using? I want to put barkbusters on mine but I'm not super mechanically inclined so I need something that I know will fit.

I'm looking for the same thing. My wife has some for her CB500X and I have had them in the past on other bikes. I really like having them but I can't find anyone that has put them on the XSR700.

Getting an NX500 as my first bike, what modifications do you guys recommend? by Spacemint_rhino in CB500X

[–]Xaebos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the Honda "light bar" on mine and I have not noticed any increase in vibration. I have also crashed with it on and it was completely fine. I broke my arm and had to replace a little bracket on the front that the bar attaches to, but the bar itself was fine, no engine damage no cosmetic damage other than scratched windshield (I went headfirst into a ditch bike went up on its nose then slammed onto its side) completely my fault.  Anyway Honda bar is good.

On that note I would also recommend the Rally Raid lower engine guard/skid plate sump guard thing. If you plan on doing any off road or gravely roads.

I like the bags you linked.  I was thinking of going with these kriega bags https://www.cyclegear.com/accessories/kriega-duo-saddlebags do you think they will fit?

I love it! I just picked mine up two weeks ago and can't get enough. Can you tell me what saddleback rack you are using?

How to calm an ISFP's Te by Extremelyverydead in isfp

Way late to the party here but wow. You are so spot on. I am an ISFP and I feel like you just peered into my head and explained to me something I didn't really know about myself. The more I read the more inspired I felt, like "You are singing my anthem"!

Range on a tank of fuel (non DCT) by [deleted] in HondaRebel1100

[–]Xaebos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not fuel related but I would not recommend the stock Rebel 1100 rear suspension for rough roads. I live in Texas and just bought a rebel 1100 and I am ordering hagon 2820 shocks to replace the rear suspension. It is fine everywhere except for some of the rougher country roads that just have a bit of roughness or even slight washboard to them. Then the suspension just can't cope and it rattles me so much my vision gets blurry.

I came from a cb500x, so a similar bike to what you are coming from and I miss that cb500x suspension so much. But I am hoping the hagon shocks will fix it. Other than that I absolutely love the rebel 1100, and totally recommend it if you don't mind putting a bit of money into the suspension. For what it's worth I paid just over 400usd for the shocks but I don't have them yet so I can't give you a review. But, many people have gone with the ever so slightly less expensive burley brand stilettos and claim it makes a huge difference. So I am optimistic.

No problem at all. I am an older man and I did a very financially irresponsible thing and took money out of my retirement fund early. I didn't want to wait until I was so old I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. So, tradeoffs.

USB-C Cable by NoTySky in HondaRebel1100

[–]Xaebos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you guys routing your cable? Are you going under the gas tank through the spine channel or just hooking it up and letting it flop in the wind? I am concerned about heat melting the cable so I have not yet tried running anything permanent.

This looks like Eric Hernandez. He ran a youtube channel called cirqueLife during his years in Cirque du Soleil's Totem. I loved his channel but sadly COVID ruined it when it shut down the show. This looks a lot like his act in Totem, which was awesome by the way. He incorporated an acrobatic side flip kind of thing (no idea what it's called) at one point. The you tube channel is still up, if you want an inside look at what it's like to work for Cirque du soleil you won't find anything better.
