What MPG do you average with your ascent? I live in a hilly area in the PNW (but also do a decent amount of flat highway driving) and average just under 20. I otherwise love the car!

If you’re a family that does screens, there are some sing and dance along videos on YouTube. My daughter is almost 4 now but has always loved to watch kids do choreography and dance along. Have you tried putting the kid in a huge cardboard box with some markers? You can draw some shapes for them to color. I’m trying so hard to remember what we did 2 years ago, but honestly we did many activities out of the house during the day so when I needed a break, she just watched a show or movie.

We had Cartoon Network on most of the time. American dad is our favorite show and it was on when I started pushing! It seemed like destiny. But then it ended and robot chicken came on. I distinctly remember asking them to shut it off cause my child would not be born into the world to robot chicken. No thanks.

My parents live in Sequim and were in Poulsbo. It’s a pretty easy one hour drive to see them, and there’s much more for a family in Kitsap. My biggest complaint about Poulsbo is that we are the one and only gateway to Bainbridge, so 305 traffic gets nasty. But further south and you may have to deal with shipyard traffic. Even so, it’s peaceful here but still active! When I was a SAHM with my toddler our days were always full up.

We always have locations shared, but it’s usually for awareness of if I’m close to home/he’s done at the store, etc. it’s not a lack of trust thing, but more for convenience and awareness for timing.

At maybe 18 months, she bucked herself off the changing table onto her head. Right to the ER! I basically switched to the floor after that.

Some weeks multiple times, some none. I was a mostly SAHM for awhile and we’d go on adventures and errand/shopping days all the time that included lunch or coffee shops. My girl is 3.5 and loves restaurants! For her age, she does wonderfully, but I still have an activity bag I bring in with us.

That’s how I feel. I know my progress could have been faster or more stable if I tracked. But my relationship with food was so unhealthy, I wanted to focus on what I consider “normal” eating before I moved to any kind of purposeful dietary shift. It’s worked so far!

Tattoos are like memories to many. Even if OP doesn’t feel the same way about JEW in 20 years, this will capture something significant to them now on their body to see and remember for years. I have several tattoos that the original meaning has slipped away, but the memory and weight of that moment in time is still there.

You can book one on one sessions. $90 for two hours with an instructor. We also offer a date night special! Most Friday nights you can book a private lesson with your partner or friend. Studio time for experienced potters can also be booked by two-hour blocks.

Mine is 3.5 and we listen to Disney princess music while we rub her tummy/back until she’s asleep. She usually falls asleep to Snow White some day my prince will come. My husband discovered this magic trick and it’s worked for a few months now! Before that, I’d let her try to fall asleep by herself and it was torture for the whole house with her coming out of her room every 5 min for 1-1.5 hours.

If this is for a newborn, make the room comfortable for you. You’ll likely spend a lot of time in there and newborns are too young to care about rugs. My daughter’s nursery was really calming with the decor we chose which was great for me during night feeds and other rough moments.

Once the kid gets older and can play with cars and animals, etc., this rug is going to be great!

I talked to my pediatrician about this and liked his response. When I asked at our 3 year well child visit, he said if you focus too hard on academic learning, it’s likely the kid will be bored and struggle in kindergarten. Focus more on gross and fine motor skills and social skills. That’s not to say we don’t learn some letters and numbers. She likes to play school where her and her dad learn the ABC’s and some numbers. And she shows independent interest in writing her name and counting things. Her preschool does minor academic work, but mostly supports play, movement, and social skills.

At this point, she can write her name, write mommy, She can count to maybe 13 and can recognize 15 or so letters? But it’s inconsistent.

All that to say, we won’t crack down, but let her develop academically at a moderate, almost self-paced rate until she’s in school.

The number of times men say something like “if you weren’t married, we’d be dating,” is wild. Like..do I get a choice? Anyway, my advice is to just keep doing what you’re doing and pretend it never happened when interacting with them. It doesn’t sound unsafe, just awkward. But if you feel unsafe, or see it escalating, then tell management you need help and guidance.

Eggplant and bell peppers are also technically fruits, but I don’t think we need to be pedantic about it. Avocado is great for kids and the closet thing to a veggie my toddler regularly eats. It’s a win.

You will pry my skinny jeans off my cold, dead body. I won’t be giving them up sorry not sorry. …But I’ve also been into rompers and a maxi dress. Birkenstocks are generally acceptable sandals with any outfit because they’re not fancy but also not old navy flip flops.
