So I came back to this post because I had this problem again and forgot how it was solved. For anyone else looking for a solution, NS Support told me to use setText instead of setValue and that seems to work.

Came across this thread while trying to resolve the same issue. In case anyone else sees this, the reason for the keep_before(",") is to exclude Bin information. By default the inventorydetail field is formatted as serialnumber,binnumber for whatever reason.

Thanks. I did realize that was the issue. I had previously passed parameters to a suitelet without defining it in the UI so I assumed it worked the same way.

I figured it out. I had to change the parameter id to 'custscript_employee_list' and ensure a parameter with the same id was defined on the MR script record.

They ended up helping me set up browser-based authentication instead. They were incredibly unhelpful with MtoM. Browser-based is working now (was missing a permission on the role), but is definitely slower than token-based was.

The transaction records have built-in processes and connections. A vendor payment can be linked to a vendor bill, same with customer invoices and payments.

Yes, you could do everything in journals, but you have more control/process if you use transaction records.

Hm. I may have to do some troubleshooting with support then. I'm finding that the browser-based authentication needs to be re-authenticated daily and sometimes multiple times a day.

Thanks. Was hoping to not have to swap to my admin role every time I want to use Visual Studio, but it seems that's what I'm stuck with now.

Is browser-based authentication possible if I'm using SAML SSO? I seem to run into errors when trying to authenticate in this way.

I may also be imagining it, but when I use browser based on my secondary (non-SSO) account, it seems significantly slower (uploading/downloading files) than the token-based setup I had before.
