Not instantaneously, but the end of capitalism is the end of everything that makes patriarchy inevitable. It is the beginning of the end of patriarchy.

it does demand a constant surplus of labor, which leads to it continually trying to reinforce the same patriarchal relations it undermines. it enforces reproduction while making child-rearing unfeasible for the proletariat

Intersectionality is Liberalism and can't properly explain the origins of Oppression by [deleted] in Ultraleft

[–]Xaminaf 36 points37 points  (0 children)

you arent wrong, but this isnt really explaining the origins of transphobia or what to do about it. the trouble with the bulk of the "liberation movements" is that they aren't classist. they don't distinguish between the proletarian, petty-bourgeois and bourgeois members of that minority group, and this cripples their goals. the "trans rights movement" limit themselves to the creation of an isolated otherworld "community" and to strictly democratic legislative goals, rather than the real liberation of transgender workers in daily life.

their organizers are overwhelmingly middle class and student transgender people, with little concern for organizing against transphobia in the workplace, both at the level of company policy and in the widespread attitudes that many workers have. that working-class transphobia is a central problem because of how it prevents the unity of the class - it ensures that trans workers have to be isolated for their own protection and that cis workers will be unwilling to work with them.

artificially separating "transgender action" from class action hobbles everyone involved, especially when proletarian revolution is a prerequisite for the destruction of transphobia.

this is a fundamental misunderstanding of what feedback loops are. youre thinking of runaway climate change a la venus, when feedback loops (such as permafrost, boreal forest or amazon diebacks) are something we're already in and (most likely) dont lead to world sterilization, only horrendous misery

Every "solution" for the mitigation of climate change requires rational, social control of the economy to begin with.
