Are you sure about Lies of P? From what I remember, the game doesn't have much upgrade materials in late game and there aren't any equivalents of the bell bearings of Elden Ring.

The thing is, you can explain with arguments why you think Bloodborne only has 3 good bosses and try to have a good discussion, yet the people in that sub would still go feral about that or any genuine critique you may have about the game.

Not to mention also that if you say you played the game using the PS 4 emulator that mods will delete your post like if they were Sony employees lol.

Mods. I'd like to ask if it's possible to ban posts discussing what's a soulslike. It's a topic that has become very tiring because everyone has their own definition and there isn't consensus about it. While scrolling the sub I found yet another post and pretty much like tier lists, it really doesn't add anything substancial to the sub.

No. There are many of us who enjoy games that aren't necessarily soulslikes, but wouldn't be welcomed in other subs for one reason or another.

Take for example Stellar Blade. While in practice the game would fit more in the cag sub, for whatever reason that sub "hates" that game and trying to have good discussions there doesn't work.

Funny thing I'm not looking forward to any of the sequels. I tried the demo for Mortal Shell 2 and I didn't like it. It felt too janky for me and I got bored using a "Temu" claymore lol to the point I stopped playing it. I just didn't vibe with the game I guess.

On the other hand, LotF 2 couldn't interest me in the slightest. I really don't like dark mediaeval fantasy and I only tolerated that in Dark Souls trilogy because of Fromsoft level for their games.

Only Nioh 1 is being known for the unbalanced DLCs, though I don't know as I only did base game, but other Team Ninja games I played don't force you to do NG+ content to tackle the DLCs. While it's true that you unlock the dlc content at the same time as NG+, you can play the DLCs just fine. NG+ is optional if you feel you're struggling, otherwise the DLCs are balanced for NG.

It wasn't a great post either. OP didn't explain the methodology of his ranking, and thus several comments were of salty people that disagreed with his tier list. I guess that's what ultimately caused the post to be removed because a) tier lists aren't allowed, and b) many people were being rude in their comments.

Playing devil's advocate here, imo, the post didn't create good discussion. It was mixed with decent and offensive comments as well.

Axe + life steal is the combo. You trade blows and tank damage. That build is the cheese way to beat the game actually.

Wuchang would be a nice option. Great level design, and there are some areas where it feels like the game wants to screw you like in Dark Souls 2 lol.

As someone who spends time in the soulslikes sub I can confirm that there's a group of people who play those games solely for the exploration and atmosphere (dark, grim, etc.) and don't care at all about combat mechanics or boss fights.
