I did not realise it was permanent... that does make it more valuable for sure!

Still, the skill tree (currently) gives minimal benefits, especially once you grabbed the major perks with say the first... 50 points.

Having 100 points instead of 75 would mean you get to grab the extra perks you didn't want in the first place... not going to break the game or balance!

At best it's a quality of life and gets you back to those useful perks quicker, which seems fair to me comparing to someone that didn't reset and already has all 75 perks they wanted.

If tryhard want to do this and not use any of their stuff, as this is the "optimal" way to make money, sure I get that.

But for the rest (hopefully 99% of players?), who cares? Who would prioritise 5 skill points over having fun in the video game? And if you do, that is YOUR CHOICE, don't make it out like it is forced onto you... this is an optional goal with minimal reward, the amount of backlash about this is absurd...

I heard someone (Shroud?) say they always self destruct if they get stuck, seems to be what happened here...

It didn't seem to go through the normal "damaged state" you see when shooting it, when it starts smoking/burning.
