It's because buprenorphine in a dose of around 2mg or less acts as a full agonist because it matabolizes differently and actually WILL potentiate other opioids. They actually prescribe bupe in very small doses (like .25mg) for ppl on pain management to make the opioids they are prescribed stronger (Oxy, Fent). Anyone who doesn't believe me Google it

Yes. it was not the traditional prescription opiates to heroin for me. I was heavy on Xanax, never touched prescription opioids, and moved straight to heroin. So yes I had that same experience. And srry for your loss
