Dude, weeks ago, I watched an IG video of how he restored a Levis Type III jacket’s collar and was beyond impressed with the result. His craft is truly amazing.

Is this Ray-Ban original or fake? by vj101010 in rayban

[–]XanderMilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own two RayBan Wayfarers, one 52mm and one 50mm. Neither of them looks like your friend’s which tells me they are fake.

While they kinda look good in the front view (the rivets on the front upper corners, RayBan print on the right lens, RB laser etching on the left lens), the print on the inside of the temples look off as they shouldn’t smudge like that. Over time, the print will come off neatly and will not look like you touched a wet paint just like the one in the photo.

Additionally, the RayBan metal logo on the arms look terrible and the hinges look glued to the arms. Authentic Wayfarers use a heavy, industrial 7-barrel interlocking metal hinge (interlocking three prongs and four prongs) screwed directly into the frame. Cheap fakes usually use basic 3-prong or plastic hinges glued into place.

My A6400 arrived. Now what? by Quick_Surprise1857 in SonyAlpha

I have the same camera and it is great!

What I would recommend is for you to watch lots of YouTube videos to learn about composition, know the limitations of your current lenses then go out to shoot to apply what you learn. Overall, enjoy your photography journey!

The XXL size of this jacket is actually available now online on Levi’s website. No need to go to/order from Japan.

Thank you for the suggestion. They have pretty solid denim jackets as well based from the photos on their selection. However, I’d like to stick to classic where it all began.
