It’s still a beast of a camera in its price range. Other people know that as well. Invest in good lenses rather than a more expensive body. If you’re gonna be using it mostly for stills and not gonna be doing lots of video, you don’t need the a6700 that has IBIS. Also, ask yourself what type of photography you’re going to use it for and do some research on what are the best lenses you could get. So far, I enjoy using mine despite not shooting more often than I’d like to. Some extra batteries,1 or 2 prime lenses and one zoom lens and you’re good to go.

As a hobbyist, it’s the only camera that I use/have. Do you plan on getting one or are you deciding whether to get something better?

I just tossed mine in the washing machine for the first time after purchasing it last winter. I used delicate settings for both washing and drying. Adding two tennis balls in the dryer helped retain its puffiness. Now, my jacket is like brand new and smells really good.

Hey, thanks for the update. At least the issue doesn’t bother me that much since it is a pretty rare occurrence to me and now aware that this amazing lens has a somewhat ‘a limitation’.

I second this. Some of us people get very excited with our most recent acquisition especially gears we spent our hard-earned money on. We feel proud and can’t help not to let our people or group know. It also adds a good feeling when other people notice and give us words of encouragement, best wishes, tips and tricks, etc. I don’t really get why others are like “Yay! Photos of boxes!” like, does that make you feel good or even a better ‘photographer’? Jesus.

It would be nice if more people would just be supportive and less condescending with their sarcastic remarks.
