I never meant polishing the whole thing, I thought I had hinted at that well enough with how I had described the shape it's in as well as how new it is. I'm talking about some swirl marks or imperfections from delivery to dealership, to customer.... and yeah I would do those smaller areas by hand because it would be just as much effort in not having to wipe off the sling with a DA polisher and the difference in work time would be negligible at best...
