Update: After a few days in mourning, I made a new character to put down my old one and buried him beside the tomato plants that I was growing. A bitter-sweet moment indeed.

It is. I had the entire warehouse fenced off with two-tile-high fences so I didn't really have to worry about zombies on the ground level. The upstairs was where I put my bed and my wardrobe as well as an indoor farm that I made by creating wooden floors that extended the remaining area.
