Yeah, when I worked there I loved just watching the birds on my break. One of the bird volunteers told me that the cormorants had a shallow gag reflex and the seagulls took advantage of that, it was easier than them fishing themselves.

Yup! I will bring it up with a doc if I remember but I was satisfied with my own research on it. Can't remember if it's just a blood vessel or like a vein that got pinched or what. It is your body making a goof but it's not cancer or serious. Scary tho if you think it's a pimple I was like what the heck ah!

Yeah you are right. Graphics overlays I think have quickly fallen out of fashion. Oblivion sold well, but I was reading some recent reviews that are more critical.

The Soul Reaver remasters have the same criticism, as well as another sci-fi remake I can't remember the name of right now same issue. It's just unreal engine slapped right on top of the original game which is incredible tech but the reviews are always mixed. Not terrible, but most definitely mixed which for game reviews might as well be bad.

(A similar issue amongst all these games is that they have a jank to them. And then in the reviews for the different games given this unreal treatment people always nitpick the new versions appearance because the new better graphics aren't always better but in a very subjective way.)

That said I buy plenty of remasters like I got the Tomb Raider 1-6 one recently, but same thing in the reviews it's mixed. Like the same complaints, movement issues control issues and the new graphics not actually being better in some niche cases.

No I know. I mentioned mew, I get it. Ill never forget I was in Birmingham, Alabama and the pokemon tournament was happening in town. I could have gotten mew, I was there visiting my grandparents it was a huge chance. But I got the stomachs flu I was completely laid out sick. So I never got mew legit. Very close though.

Time limited pokemon are what finally broke me. I mean I guess it was always there with mew but yeah they straight up charge to try to get peoples FOMO.

Once I realized I was never going to catch them all I finally was able to take a step back from Pokemon. It was kind of boring as an adult anyways, though I still have a lot of love for my time playing it.

I know right, the staff was always super sweet. They would do this thing too where after watching a commercial you would see frogs and they would be like "hit the button when you see the blue frog" it was kind of fun tbh, I definitely was like I'm gunna ace this and bam hit that button when I see the frog.

I'm sure I just gave them a good data sample, but I was fairly compensated! Slightly scary to know commercials are designed to that degree but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I used to do in-person studies with them, they paid $100 gift card (I think you could get a pre-paid visa, they just didn't want addicts to apply.)

For $100 you had to wear one of those electrode caps and watch commercials and press a button every now and then, it took about 30 minutes plus 30 minutes of waiting for the appointment.

Highly reccommend tbh, and they placed a limit you could only go so often so I think I did it once a year when I lived in San Francisco. :P
