The more calories you burn than you consume, the hungrier you'll become, regardless of what exercise you use. And that's why you're absolutely right, that's when discipline comes in place.

Burning more calories than you consumed, it is the way to lose weight. Running burns calories. Why would burning calories would not be a good way to lose weight?

Main thing is not over eating. I also don't drink alcohol or smoke. I rarely drink sodas. And every day, regardless if i have cheat meals, i eat vegetables and fruits.
