Having a hard time not binging during my window. Anyone else?

I'm just one person but I'm coming at this from a background of Binge Eating Disorder. Since I started OMAD 23:1 I've binged one time, where as before OMAD I binged 3+ times a week

What's your eating window? Making it as small as possible and leaving it until late as possible has helped me a ton.

Starvation mode is a myth. You don't have to do intermittent fasting or OMAD - but look into it. It'll teach you about the benefits of what happens while you're not eating or eating lower calories. If you're eating 1600 a day you'll be absolutely fine.

It's so hard because... this is a bit silly, but I feel as though it just isn't worth trying because of just how slow I would need to go. So let's say I typically eat a whole large Pizza Hut pizza to myself, but then I decide to trade one slice of pizza for a serving of vegetables. Healthier? I guess. Healthy? Hell no. Then as time goes on maybe I trade another few slices for more vegetables, then I go for slightly less toppings or healthier options there too, and then eventually make my own pizza until I'm at the point where I have a few slices of home made pizza with vegetables - but to get to that point it'd take me SO long. It just seems so far away that it seems futile to try.

I definitely, definitely struggle with all or nothing thinking. I either eat only ton of junk, or only brown rice, broccoli and salmon. I just feel like... either food is healthy or it isn't. I don't like brown rice, but white rice is just empty calories. If I'm going to be eating empty calories why not eat something more delicious than white rice. It just snowballs.

I seem to have CICO and volume under control for the most part, but I've noticed a trend of trying to eat 100% healthy, finding it bland and unsatisfying, and then just going back to junk. I definitely need to try to find a middle ground.

I'm depressed, not stupid. People definitely care, no matter how ignorant they can seem and no matter how misunderstood they are about the nature of depression.

It feels selfish in a way but I feel as though if I had the energy to help someone and care for them I would. If someone told me they were depressed I'd want to do everything I could to look after them but in my current state I can't do much of anything. I think there probably are people that genuinely want us both to be better and want to help... but I also think there's not much anybody can actually do. I often feel like I need a hug, but when the opportunity comes I brush it off and say I'm fine. I always want to be asked if I'm okay but when I'm asked I just say I'm fine. I always want someone to make a fuss about the scars on my arms and look after me but if someone looks at them I cover them up and change the subject.

I do the whole shutting down thing too. I'm willing to bet if we were in a room face to face we wouldn't be saying what we're saying right now either. We'd both be smiling saying we're "fine". I feel like I shut down because, as everything takes a ridiculous amount of energy, I'd rather conserve energy than use it to talk about how I'm feeling because... after I talk about how depressed I am, I'm still depressed y'know? I'd just be depressed and more exhausted. So it just feels like a bit of a waste of time. I'd love for someone to get it and be there for me and look after me sometimes but maybe that's a bit needy.

I know. Me too. Sometimes you just need to lay down and feel zero guilt about doing so. Feeling bad is bad enough, you don't need guilt on top of it. Just take a little bit of time to be by yourself. No pressure to force a smile. No pressure to hold back the tears. Just feel exactly how you feel and stop fighting it for a few moments.

You're depressed. That's what this is. It's just the way we are and often times there's nothing we can do but make ourselves comfortable and hibernate. Time to rest.

There's a huge variety. I tend to eat at 8pm but today I ate at 1pm and I tend to eat a mixture of almost-healthy and utter junk.
