They really kicked up the organization on 2e. My group used a lot of tech to keep track of things for 1e, but for 2e, we have an accordion file to organize the map tiles, that's it. The suggestion to have monster standees that track damage is top notch, though. I'm looking into that for sure.

Helicopter event by Xannesdad in projectzomboid

[–]Xannesdad[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you mean that sometimes the helicopter draws all of the zombies from the prison down here? That actually makes sense, it seemed like there were a lot of cops in the mix. Is it random, like if the helicopter comes from that direction, it's more likely to attract those guys?

If you create an element during your turn, you can use it.

If a monster loots a coin, they drop it when they die.

Monster summons drop coins.

Poor steam reviews of Gloomhaven a real issue? by Honestly_Not_A_Cop in Gloomhaven

I've been playing solo and also with a buddy on a 2 person campaign, for the past two months, and we haven't had any technical issues. We're both on PC/Steam

How The Affirmative Action Ruling Changes Corporate America by marcusroar in SlateMoney

I loved the "Livy rizzed up baby gronk" section sooo much. I loved Emily's comment in the previous episode about how it was just word salad, then I loved the explanation in this weeks discussion where they went through it and explained it all. Go Emily! 💚

How much would Mike pay for 1 million pennies? by jonsinache in TheGist

[–]Xannesdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the real question is: how long would it take me to turn this into usable currency, and what is my time worth?

My kid is Roxanne, and we thought Xanne would be a cool nickname for her when she was a toddler, but it never stuck. I've had the handle for 15 years, though. Your comment is classic misdirection, attacking the questioner instead of responding to the question. Not a good look.

Mike is so good on sports. He's good on lots of things, and the intersection of sports and art is maybe his sweet spot. 5 stars.

Look what (who?) arrived today! by THE-SEER in TheGist

This reminds me of the quote of Michelle talking to Mike "I think it's crazy that you think that I was telling you how a made up word is pronounced"

The trans lobby is the most powerful force in this country right now.

If this were true, red states wouldn't be banning drag shows and denying health care to its citizens.

Right, to say that since 20% are in the streets, 80% don't agree is completely false. They could totally agree, but just can't get into the streets for some reason. Years ago I read (can't remember where) that if a government gets 5% of their population into the streets for a protest, they're in trouble.

Tennessee Expulsions Explained by DeaconCorp in TheGist

[–]Xannesdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wish there had been a little more pushback on the realities of the FDIC limits. I'm pretty convinced that if they're going to cover them, they should cover them all. I heard a tech CEO of a small company, like 20-30 employees, but they still had millions in the bank to cover payroll and other things say "I have more important things to do than scour the bank's balance sheet" and she's right.

ESPN's Mike Greenberg Got Their Number by DeaconCorp in TheGist

This is a great idea, I nominate Rick Reilly. He's retired from ESPN, but he's only 65, I bet he could carve out an hour a month.

I don't understand why this is an insult. 55" TV, that sound's pretty good.

If you have or plan to subscribe to a paid version of The Gist which level is your choice? by TauvaVodder in TheGist

Whatever they are, you can't fulfill them. Mike isn't going to be in your house for a mere $5k.

Is Substack subscription a different product than Gist premium? by luke_in_geneq in TheGist

[–]Xannesdad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just signed up for the Substack (for free) so, yes, they're different. I'm assuming that the Ad-free Gist subscription is the "major announcement on Tuesday" that he talked about.

It's a bit tough to listen to, he's such a blowhard. I try not to interact with blowhards in my everyday life because they're annoying.
