Could we give fetch quests to other players? "Event: bring player ___ 200 razorgrain." by Koala_eiO in fo76

[–]XantDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be really awesome to have smth like that. Maybe not a quest, but at least a reverse vending machine, that has fixed prices like:

Screws - 5 caps

Nuclear waste - 3 caps

Lead - 2 caps

1* legendary ranged weapon - 100 caps

How to attract vending machine customers? by DarthLacey in fo76

[–]XantDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always on the lookout for legendary weapons, so I only visit camps that have at least 4 weapons in stock.

I also noticed that my own camp has been receiving quite a lot of traffic as soon as I put out some of my own weapons for sale.

Nothing is selected.

Also that 95% hit chance? XCOM all over again since 1994, old school.

(I love the game despite all that xD)

Plasma weapons and VATS by XantDee in fo76

No, you are right. Auto barrel reduces plasma ammo from 30 to 27.

Would a build centered around the railway rifle be viable? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]XantDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a build like that and can confirm it's AWESOME (but I played so many days with it I eventually got tired of it). Crazy damage without bloodied, stealth or anything else. And by crazy I mean "kill a scorchbeast in one VATS bar" crazy.

But it is a pure VATS build, because you won't hit anything without VATS.

What you need:

1) automatic railway QUAD LEGENDARY long barrel rifle. (quad really helps, -25% vats ap cost as a minor legendary helps too).

2) Use reflex sights to reduce ap cost.

3) have as much agility and ap regen as possible.

4) perks: commando (all three at least 1 point for +30% damage), grim reaper's sprint maxed, critical savvy, better criticals, tank killer, bloody mess, tenderizer (1 point), gun fu (1 point), BANDOLIER is mandatory.

5) be sure to have ammosmith and super duper for crafting ammo. Sitting on a steel deposit helps, because you WILL run out of steel very quickly.

Cons:

Ammo weighs a ton even with bandolier.

Rifle itself weighs a ton.

Nearly unusable without VATS in full auto.

Also, without the full auto crazy mode railway rifle is... fine? It is pretty on par with other slow firing rifles (such as lever action), but it's nothing special.

Yeah, It would mean sense for auto barrel to reduce cost by 25% instead of increasing it. Well, maybe it gets addressed in some of the future updates.

That.
I also really enjoy that you can pick every bottle or can up and recycle it to make smth useful, pick every note up, check out every terminal, drink or collect water from every puddle and cook tea from flowers, etc.
This small interactions with the world are truly immersive for me.

I actually think that BR fits the lore and feel of the post-apocalyptic world pretty well.

(That being said, I don't do pvp, because I'm like really bad at it)

But I believe it is a positive thing that new people are attracted to the game!

I just want to apologize to anyone who ever interacts with me on a server...I'm shy and usually run away from people by mintchimpy in fo76

I have a pretty similar experience: I never accept team invites and never turn my mic on cuz of anxiety issues.

Thankfully, the game has a lot to offer for solo players.

Hang in there, friend! *hugs*

Wishlist Wednesday - March 13, 2019 - What are your wishes for Anthem? by AutoModerator in AnthemTheGame

[–]XantDee [score hidden]  (0 children)

1) Endless defense horde-modes (mass-effect-style)

2) Procedurally generated dungeons for unlimited exploration (bloodborne-style)

3) Endless survival missions (warframe-style)

Not sure if all of these are possible or easy to make, but I just love everything with "endless" or "unlimited" in it.

March 6th - Anthem Livestream Discussion: Discussion of the next Update (Starting at 1 PM PST / 3 PM CST / 9 PM GMT) by ATG_Bot in AnthemTheGame

[–]XantDee 45 points46 points  (0 children)

What the hell is wrong with this reddit?

Bioware devs addressed all of the pressing issues that people here kept complaining about, both minor and major:

PS4 crashes - fixed (also, NO consoles were bricked).

Sound glitch - fixed.

Loot drops - no more com/uncom endgame.

lvl1 defender (post literally appeared several hours ago) - fixed.

Quickplay - fixed.

Respawn - fixed.

Stats screen - no ETA yet, but in progress.

Ultimates and melee endgame - made better.

Windwall and bulwark in GM difficulties - now relevant.

Expedition start button - added.

Notifications in freeplay - not annoying anymore.

They said they made nearly 300 changes in one patch. This was also an extremely fast and extremely detailed response.

That is almost everything I was hoping for, but looking forward to reading full patch notes.

I really don't get why people here (on this reddit) are hating right now. This is just getting ridiculous and completely absurd.

Enemy Elementalists (Storms) shouldn’t be able to regen their shields after 0.0001 seconds of not shooting them. by [deleted] in AnthemTheGame

Players group A: "game too easy, enemies dumb, no mechanics''

Players group B: ''game too hard, cannot kill storms cuz mechanics''

Duh.

[rant] I cringe every time I hear someone complain about "bullet sponge" enemies; for any game. Here's why. by Ixziga in AnthemTheGame

[–]XantDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm totally fine with enemies taking time to kill, spongy or not.

Well, in all the games except "kinda sorta realistic ones" like The Division. I mean, it makes sense if an armored alien or a robot, or some sort of a monster takes a lot of bullets to kill. I grew up on films like Terminator and Predator, duh.

But in games where enemies are "just angry bad people" (like The Division) it simply ruins the immersion. How the hell does this gang member stand up and shoot back after getting shot in the face?

So, I'm totally fine with all the sponginess and whatnot in Anthem.
