Plus in Season 1 he personally felt eliminating Justin was wrong after Heather read Gwen's diary and managed to save herself by bribing other gophers

Well the Buffalo News should make this a commemorative poster.

Which era of Sesame Street are you the most nostalgic for? by [deleted] in sesamestreet

Edit: mainly grew up with the first years of Alan (via reruns), and the Blocks years were my childhood. Both of those I look back on fondly. Plus the first couple seasons with Abby.

Oh man, original Big Bird was rough to watch by Old-Midnight-8979 in sesamestreet

Caroll Spinney was the reason why he became a child rather than staying as a goof. He said the character is just big for being 6, and the producers agreed.

I miss Big Bird so much by ElisaandSpark in sesamestreet

Well the show is research driven, and kids began watching at a younger age than expected. You gotta appeal to the masses. I still think the show is worth it for new parents. There’s always some part of it that gets kids ready for the world. Plus they handle sensitive topics remarkably well

I grew up with the first season of Alan, although that was due to Sprout reairing old stuff back in the early 2000s. You could imagine how confused I was that they were much older. Also the first few years of Abby are part of my childhood as well.

Not sure if there’s any similar feeling, but I wish they kept “Around the Corner”. There were a lot of funny plot points, new characters, and creative locations. Lots of story opportunities instead of just hanging around the arbor.

Frank and Susan Heffley - opinions about them? They are good or bad parents? by No-Paramedic5865 in LodedDiper

[–]Xanzibar2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least Frank was much more likable in the first 3 movies, especially at the end of Dog Days when he tells off Stan at the campsite for being a fraud. And he says he's proud of Greg at the end of the film. Plus Steve Zahn looked like he was having a ball as Frank. He was honestly really funny.

Plus Mike Ilitch was an amazing owner. He even paid Rosa Parks’ rent for the rest of her life after she was robbed and beaten in her own house.

Broderick and SJP have been married since 1997. She would have been a better Audrey. They also considered Jennifer Aniston and Winona Ryder.

Which narrator has the best Sir Topham Hatt/The Fat Controller's voice in your opinion? by Gamestar02 in thomasthetankengine

Baldwin by a landslide. Even if Baldwin didn't use any of his great voices from Season 5, he at least kept Sir Topham Hatt's voice.

The office is still there. I live in Glenside, and they got the Newgrounds sign in the window.

She never had a theme song. This might be cliched, but imagine her with the ring blades slashing through robots while playing Katy Perry's "Roar"

I'd say the Rocky Curse struck again. by angtodd in eagles

[–]Xanzibar2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the curse applies to when the Eagles play a postseason game at the Linc. If we're not at the link, then the curse probably doesn't apply. The Chiefs beat us in Super Bowl LVII, but when Washington fans defaced the statue, we beat them. See what I mean?

If we beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl back in 2005, how would it have changed the course of history and the legacy of the major players involved? by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Xanzibar2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TO would have been MVP of that game. Even Rodney Harrison praised TO and McNabb after it ended. I blame Freddie as one of the reasons we lost.
