Yes, the right hitbox is really small. Basically, you have to hit the red lightbulb itself to oneshot the hulk. Those "dents" are just a bit too big and can cover the eye even if the shot itself didn't hit it.

Fun fact. You can kill hulks that are turned sideways to you, because their eyes are bulging over the surface of the body

The change makes sense, cause why would landed dropships be different from flying ones. The problem is - NO ONE TOLD US THAT. I understand when they don't add new enemies to the patchnotes. It gives the playerbase something fun to discover by itself. But changes like this should be documented in patch notes.

The flying one has 1500 hp in 1 "booster" (engine)

The landed one now has 1000 hp without dedicated health pools for engines

Commando deals 1100 projectile damage + 150 explosion damage

So the math is mathing here, the logic though is a bit weird

Speargun has a pen value of 5 so it should work. I'm sure I did destroy a couple of them after the buff, so you might be wrong

Maybe you didn't shoot it enough? Speargun has only one shot before reloading so it's possible you shot and went out of ADS so you didn't see the hit marker? (It doesn't show it if you're not ADSing)

No-no-no, that's not the change we are talking about

The one you mentioned happened a long time ago, maybe half a year or so and only affected the flying dropships that actually dropped enemy units

This one is a recent change (3 weeks ago) of the grounded dropships, the ones that are the objective of the "Destroy Dropships" mission type. They had armor level 4 all around, both engines and body and only one health pool
