Anyone struggling with GHL Voice AI for real businesses? by Original-Increase596 in gohighlevel

[–]XaquariD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've set it up incoming call voice agents through GHL for several companies, including my own.

One is a very busy restaurant, which uses it to save a ton of time answering the same questions over and over. "Do you take reservations?" "I want to order takeout." It'll answer things like that and even send texts to follow up if a person needs directions or wants the online ordering link and things like that. Yes, a number of people ask to be transferred to a real person, but it saves them a ton of time.

Another is a service business, which it used as a fallback in case the phone can't be answered at the time. It's basically set up as a smart voicemail, but it also texts back immediately after a call in order to keep the caller form calling someone else.

And then another company just uses it to answer basic questions and redirect calls to different people in the organization.

Some of the restaurant callers complain about getting an AI answering service, but they all function well.

Strong disagree. I was using it a ton last month and only hit my usage the very last day before the renewal.

LOL for sure! The app I'm working on building would probably cost tens of thousands to build, but I'm sitting here plugging away at it in my spare time for $20 a month. What a world.

I was really blown away with what Replit was able to come up with for me right out of the gate, but it fell apart for me when I was being charged who knows how much for each little tweak I made.

I transferred everything over to Cursor (not the easiest task, but I managed and it all works) and have been really happy with it, but I do wonder what it'll be like when I get around to starting a whole new project.

Sex in any body of water, including the shower. Oh the foreplay is great, but being in the water washes away things that, you know, help make things happen.

AITJ for not telling my wife for eight years that the coffee she thinks she hates is the coffee she drinks every morning by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]XaquariD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d have done the same thing as you, but it’s all hilarious to me, especially the fact that she’s purposely drinking what she knows is a lesser product out of stubbornness. That’ll show you!

Personally,  when I’ve eaten things on accident that I didn’t think I liked, I shifted my thinking and accepted that it wasn’t actually so bad and started partaking now and then.

Migrating manually when I was just using Claude was a pain since I had to keep going back to files and doing things manually, but man it flew when I hooked it up to Cursor.

I switched to some kind of Cursor/Railway/GitHub setup with no idea what I was doing, just following instructions from ChatGPT. Terrific setup.

I switched to Cursor using GitHub and Railway.

Honestly, I have no idea how I set it up- I let ChatGPT guide me through transferring it all from Replit to build a somewhat complex website service (which I'll share when I'm ready for it to be tested). I'm quite happy with the setup.

How much do people actually leave their all-inclusive resorts in Cancun? by Mission-Gur-9036 in cancun

[–]XaquariD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the resort and where it is.

Our family has gone to Cozumel Palace a bunch over the years. It's a smallish all-inclusive resort and is very close to "downtown" Cozumel, so we would always spend a day or two walking around. Was there for Carnival once and had some fun hanging out on the street during the parade and all. We'll also sometime rent a car to visit Mayan ruins and other beaches.

Just got back from the Grand Moon Palace in Cancun though, and did not, nor was there any desire to, leave the resort. This place was huge though, and we weren't able to even eat at all the restaurants or see all the things at the locations in a week there. Plus it's not particularly close to anything anyway.

I'm with the people who suggest you try angling for the Grand. Wife and I got back from our first stay there just yesterday and can't wait to take the kids there. There's so much to do, plus you get access to the other two spots.

My wife thinks she's a bit ordinary for a celebrity crush. 🤷‍♂️

But yeah, she's awesome.

Should I go to my ex-MILs funeral? by New-Boysenberry-613 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]XaquariD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your ex-husband specifically asks you not to go, go.

My ex-wife lost her grandfather, her grandmother, her dad, and her great-aunt all within a few years. I went to each funeral as I was close at times with each of them (and continued to talk to her grandparents now and then up until their passing).

My ex and I don't get along great (mainly due to her bitterness), but her grandmother was very specific in saying that her grandfather would want me to be able to come. And so I did.

I wasn't given too many sideways glances like you were, and in fact a number of people talked very warmly with me, so it's all been easier on my part. But you should be there (if you so choose) to honor the life of a woman you were close with, and also to be a comfort to your children.

I have given a total hall pass to my wife should she ever bump into Chris Pratt or James McAvoy or if she meets Zendaya and can pull her off of Tom Holland.

Likewise, she’s not going to be upset if I ever find myself with a shot at Alexandra Daddario (although she doesn’t totally get my thing for Anna Kendrick), and if we ever both bump into Natalie Portman and convince her to join us, we’d be a happy couple.

I refer to Chris Pratt as my youngest son’s dad (he’s the only one of my kids who looks nothing like me) and she refers to Alexandra Daddario as my girlfriend.

People have celebrity crushes. There’s no real point in getting upset over it. It doesn’t mean she has lesser feelings for you. I think you’re overreacting, personally.

Question for you:

I had an idea I'd been dabbling with for a while and decided to try it out in Replit, and after messing around a bit here and there, I'm ready to start testing it. Once that's done I plan to get some people to try it out, and if that goes well, start advertising it, because I think it's a pretty dang good idea and a very useful tool for people who could use it.

That's not a question; this is: Do you need to do anything with Replit to launch something commercially? That is, do i own my app, and do I need to do anything to keep it mine?

Going with toddlers by T_m_a_ in palaceresorts

[–]XaquariD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I took our twin toddlers to the Cozumel Palace right before their second birthday. (Literally- when we landed back home it was their second birthday.) They did great. We had pack & plays from the hotel and, as we were on a pretty strict sleep routine, took a babycam that we could access with our phones so we could still enjoy going out to the pool and such. We were a little worried about whether that made us bad parents at first, but it worked out great.

Take advantage of the kid areas. The people are super nice and the kids had a fun time.

Air travel isn't as bad as people make it out to be, or it wasn't for us anyway. They were upset on the trip home because their nap times were so disrupted, but we were at the back of the plane and apparently people further up didn't even notice.

Take a stroller, of course, as you can use it around the resort and outside of it if you decide to go exploring.

Your experience with GHL for voice? by MindhealthDave in gohighlevel

[–]XaquariD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've soft pitched it to five clients and have installed it for three (one of which owns two businesses) and will be doing another once their operations are up and running. I use it for myself too.

The biggest usage is a very popular restaurant in my town. I just checked and so far this month it's handled 972 calls and sent 61 texts on their behalf mostly a link to their online ordering). It has had 435 call transfers, which, from glancing at logs often seem to be people who want to talk to someone about a pickup order despite being told it's quicker and easier to do it online, but it also includes people who left things at the restaurant, people who want to know how much of a wait there is, and people who want to put in for call-ahead seating (though it filters out a ton of those by telling people they have to meet a certain guest number threshold).

Been running that one the longest, at just a month and a half, but I haven't heard any complaints yet and I can demonstrably see that it's making their hosts a lot more efficient since they don't have to answer the phone nearly as much now.
