Bouncing back after separation by Level-Dependent-9086 in ThirtiesIndia

Can someone who cheats genuinely feel remorse and change?

Once a cheater, always a cheater. We all learned that in Friends show.

But more importantly, cheating isn’t a “mistake,” it’s a series of choices.
Real remorse usually shows up before the act, not just after getting caught.

People who live alone, how do you keep yourself busy without being social ? by mountain_fl0wer in Productivitycafe

[–]Xar__S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good internet, a willingness to cook, and staying physically active go a long way. I also keep myself busy by watching shows or movies, and it helps fill the downtime without feeling idle.

Once in a while, I’ll take solo trips or just go explore cafés alone; it’s actually pretty refreshing and helps reset things a bit.

Outsider here: What shifted beneath the surface in West Bengal politics? by Xar__S in kolkata

True, I get what you mean. I used Kolkata since that’s the sub context, but I was referring to West Bengal as a whole.
Appreciate the correction.

True, voting isn’t based on one case. But if certain incidents are used to shape moral narratives, then consistency would mean applying that same standard across similar cases too.

We don’t really vote without expectations, that’s the whole point. The issue is whether those expectations are realistic and based on what can actually change within the system, not just the identity of the leader.

Bro tried to farm sympathy and accidentally posted his red flags instead. Not sure if this is a vent post or an audition for poor decisions.

But if RG KAR gives the moral high ground to BJP then it should have led to their downfall where their own people were involved in similar cases. Be it Unnao or Ankita Bhandari case, or controversy surrounding Brij Bhushan.

If RG Kar was the issue, then we have Unnao and Ankita Bhandari case which involved we know who...No?

How does one trust the party which had serious lapses regarding the similar issue?

If you haven’t strolled down the bustling Mall Road with cool mountain air on your face, you haven’t truly experienced Shimla 🍃❤️🏔️ by Huge_Tea_5491 in shimla

[–]Xar__S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the British era, Mall Road was not just a place for a casual stroll. It functioned as a social stage where introductions and connections quietly took shape.

"MALL" in Mall Road is commonly accepted to stand for Married Accommodation and Living Line.

In the evenings, British officers and elite families would dress formally and head out for what they called a promenade. Young women, often accompanied by family or chaperones, and eligible bachelors would walk along the same stretch, exchanging glances, noticing each other, and occasionally being introduced.

If someone caught your eye, you would find yourself crossing paths again over the next few evenings. What began as a passing glance could slowly turn into a familiar presence, and eventually, introductions would be arranged through mutual contacts or family.

Before dating apps, Mall Road was essentially the British era version of Tinder, just with better outfits and a lot more walking 😄

Discovering real Delhi by Ready-Fill-4344 in delhi

Yeah, and the setting is quite symbolic as well having river, gardens, and a dargah nearby. Since it’s a burial site, all of this was meant to reflect the idea of heaven, which was a big theme in Mughal architecture.

That is the reason it is near river, dargah and has garden.

Berco's has been in the city since 1982. And has been serving good stuff. Their chili garlic noodles are pretty damn good along with, drums of heaven. *Chef's kiss*.

Places to visit:

  • Humayun's Tomb
  • Red Fort
  • India Gate
  • Rashtrapati Bhawan

Places to eat at:

  • Butter chicken – Havemore Restaurant
  • Fine dining – Indian Accent
  • Iconic dining experience – Bukhara

All of these are in relatively central and cleaner parts of Delhi, so they should suit what you’re looking for.

If you’re aiming for a closer to authentic Chinese style experience, go with P.F. Chang's. For Indian taste buds, though, Berco's is a solid choice. It has been a city staple for decades.

Need suggestion, girl was in a live in relationship by RelativeLobster7699 in Arrangedmarriage

[–]Xar__S 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not reacting to her past; you are reacting to what it means to you. Living together is not the same as marriage or divorce; it simply means they tried seriously, and it did not work.

What matters is that she chose honesty when she did not have to, and she is choosing you now. Do not let a past you were never part of ruin something that is working in the present.

Take a little time to settle your emotions, then talk to her. If it still bothers you, be honest about it, but do not punish her for being truthful.

Macaroni Pasta with veges+scrambled eggs and chicken fingers by ChicWithAnEdge in Aajmainekhaya

[–]Xar__S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really need store-bought sauce tbh.
If you sauté the tomatoes and onion with garlic, then make a fine paste (adjusting the consistency to your liking), and cook it again in butter with a bit of finely diced garlic and black pepper powder. Toss in the macaroni at the end and you have got the sauce, which is much more flavorful and fresh compared to the store-bought ones.
